Older hotel with a very welcoming staff. This hotel is located on the road across from a beautiful and tranquil lake. Double room had small bed but comfortable. Enjoyed relaxing in the common areas next to a lovely fireplace. Breakfast was good -- all the basics.

The room was nice but there were several aspects we were not happy with as a family travelling with a young child - 1) on a phone call before our visit, we did not feel welcome to bring a young child in our room (we understood there was not enough space for another bed but the staff did not seem... We were actually supposed to stay somewhere different, but unfortunately we found out the day before our reservations were cancelled and they set us up here. We were happy to have had a place to stay, but disappointed to be turned away which such little/basically NO notice. SO, the Knipoch is actually quite beautiful. The breakfast room being my favorite.... More

In a lovely situation and staffed by friendly people this hotel missed out in some areas. The rooms were modest in size and design. Not having a mirror over the sink makes shaving difficult! The food was totally uninspiring and was not cooked to our requests. The wine list was equally poor. Wifi was not available in our room......why oh... More

Great view, friendly and smiling staff, customer oriented approach, clean, good food and pleasant facilities. In spite of a setback they experienced with the hot water system, the fact that they tried their best to compensate was remarkable. Recommended for those visiting the area.

Hotel location & staff service was brilliant. Full English breakfast was very poor. 1,sausage(which was poor quality no taste) 1 slice of bacon which was very salty, half a tomato, 1 fried egg & few mushrooms every day. (Didn't vary at all with black pudding, hash brown or fried bread etc.) Evening meal was limited choice, no vegetarian dish very... More

This hotel is a Gem. It looks lovely from the outside and is gorgeous on the inside. The reception and lounge areas were lovely. We received a very warm welcome and our room was very pleasant. The food was gorgeous and we hope to return here again.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Rooms are large and include comfortable seating. Bathroom is dated but functional with everything you need. The boutique hotel is warm, friendly and the service is second to none. Breakfast is delightful and relaxing - with only 19 rooms it was a pleasure to feel treated and well looked after with their personal service. My... More

Nestling beside Loch Feochan in Argyll, Scotland, lays Knipoch Hotel (pronounced neepoch -och as in loch). This four star country house hotel is privately owned and run by the Craig family. We opened Knipoch as a hotel in 1981 when the original building was refurbished with the reception, kitchen and bedroom wing being added.Prior to this it was our family home with a history.
