Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thank you for letting us into your dream. It has been an amazing experience at the manor - the decorations, food and stories are all so wonderful! We hope to be back some day and point out the new furnishes. A lil game we hope to play! - Charlotte I truly appreciate all your time and effort in helping me realise my wife's 40th Birthday! Nydia is meticulous in her work. Lots of personal touches that are palpable when I look with admiration! Ken's hospitality is constantly on overdrive - you can see it in his sprightly pace. He is truly inspiring as a person too, especially when he tells you how he laid every roof tile with care and every cornice with such artistry! - Arthur

Thorngrove Manor is breath taking! It has been so intricately purpose built with such fine detail it is truly captivating! You are literally taken back in time with so much history. We thoroughly enjoyed the stories and all that Thorngrove had to offer. In the room there are books with details outlaying the history of the area, history of Thorngrove and a detailed local guide with local attractions and activities which enhanced our experience immensely! The food was AMAZING! so much flavour and care taken making it exceptional! Thorngrove is truly a place of dreams!

Our stay at Thorgrove Manor truly exceeded our expectations. Ken was a gracious host who's passion for art and antiques brought the history of the antique pieces to life. The castle itself is brilliantly hand-crafted by a true artisan. Design elements found in antiques have been incorporated into structural and landscape designs. The food was perfectly prepared and fit for a king and a queen. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Our 2nd visit to Thorngrove but this time a 2 night stay in the B&B Castle Keep. Once again taken aback by the architecture and sheer opulence of the accommodation and venue. A beautiful place to stay for that special occasion, just for a few day's you feel like a medieval king & Queen. Thank you to the owners for yet again a magical escapism. Paula & Jason

Thorngrove Manor was truly a magic experience. The building holds sheer artistic and architectural brilliance. This was truly a priceless experience that we will cherish forever. We were captivated hearing the stories and memories of Thorngrove that was shared to us. Also, the breakfast and dinner was absolute perfection with the flavours and presentation (best beef I've ever had!). Thank you Kenneth and Nydia for designing and creating such a unique masterpiece that makes you feel like royalty. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

Dear Lord Kenneth and Lady Nydia, Thank you so much for our delightful weekend stay at Thorngrove Manor Hotel and Castle. We knew our stay was going to be amazing but we were absolutely blown away by the intricate detail you have both created within. Having renovated many houses, we so appreciated the enormity and scale of what you have created! With my husband being a carpenter/builder and I specialising in textiles we spent much of our stay admiring the exquisite luxury period decor and detail that makes Thorngrove look so authentically old! We cannot comprehend how Thorngrove was ever built without huge team of builders! Thank you Kenneth and Nydia for designing, building, creating and providing such a unique accomodation masterpiece to make anyone who stays feel like

Dear Nydia and Ken,

We visited your place at Thorngrove Manor last Sunday. Sorry that I (Leena) couldn't meet you personally at the time of leaving due to rain. We just wanted to say that it was such an amazing stay in your accommodation that no words could explain it. Your tasteful, luminous and baroque-style castle that you built on Australian soil, the perfect medieval garden that blended with Aussie autumn colours, your aesthetic sense of placing unique antique pieces, your stylish wisdom to bring bright and multifaceted flavour of the medieval European and South Australian fusion just mesmerised us. I was time travelling to the olden fairy tale times to a tall castle that I have been dreaming of to live one day since my childhood.
We couldn't actually visualise this
