Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Motel last weekend as we were visiting friends from interstate for a big birthday celebration.
There was not much accommodation to choose from in the area.
The Stirling Golf Club motel was very basic, big room, basic facilities. The bed was excellent, so comfortable and warm.
The rest of the room and it’s surrounds are a bit tired...curtains were half hanging off and in the bathroom there was a electrical plug stuck together with masking tape.
On the Sunday morning, it was about 4.5 degrees outside and there was no hot water. I had to have a freezing cold numbing shower which wasn’t ideal.
All in all, it served it’s purpose but don’t expect modern surroundings.

Only 5 rooms at the Sterling Golf Club. Rooms are well appointed and clean, however basic, offering a wonderful comfortable king size bed with excellent pillows. Lovely views over the golf course and quiet at night. Very basic breakfast offered in the way of toast and packet breakfast cereals with tea and coffee in the rooms. Venue well centred to all the wonderful places in the Hills of Adelaide.

Booked to play on my own at 10.12 on 31 Jan with a buggy as extremely hilly course. Started off ok but after a few holes got behind groups of senior players and spent the remainder of the round being continually held up. Obviously no knowledge of the traditions and ethics of golf to invite me to play through. Had I been told when I booked that Wednesdays are “Seniors” days and it would be busy I would have booked an alternative day and time. Very frustrating disappointing morning. Furthermore whilst a scenic course with good greens and fairways the buggy paths, which I was advised to keep to were rough unmade tracks uncomfortable to drive on and many tees were worn with little grass. Good write up on it’s own website as The Stirling Golf Club but obviously my expectations were much too high leading to a disappointing morning. No one in Pro Shop to make my feelings known. Only a notice on door to say “In Bar.”

Stayed a night in their motel accommodation which is very tired, dated and in need of some TLC.
Saving grace was the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable and a continental breakfast was supplied but it is way overpriced at $185.00 per night.

The room was huge with a magnificent view across the golf course, creek and trees on the opposite hills. Plenty of ducks and places to walk. The included breakfast was plenty and the restaurant was open every night except Tuesday.
