A delightful lunch to celebrate my birthday. As usual Gordleton Mill did not disappoint . Food well cooked and presented, much sourced locally. Unfortunately not quite warm enough to eat outside on the terrace but a stroll around the gardens after our meal, to admire the spring flowers, gold fish and amazing statues.

We had a superb lunch there, limited vegetarian choices...but who cares when they are that good !? Great for sitting indoors, or out by the water in the sunshine. Will definitely be going back......soon.

An absolute pleasure to dine here. Lovely setting with amazing gardens. Decor very high end giving a very nice atmosphere. Food superb. Staff attentive and knowledgeable without being snooty. Felt very comfortable and relaxing. Cannot wait to come back, thankyou for a lovely evening.

My wife and I took all the 8 rooms for family and friends over April 1-2 to celebrate our Golden Wedding . We had been a few times when in the area. The hotel staff were so helpful with all our requirements - nothing was too difficult. We were able to arrange the rooms depending what we knew each family...

We ate here while on a short New Forest break after reading trip advisor reviews on coeliac friendly restaurants in the area. My wife was not disappointed and was even able to have the three course set menu, a real rarity for her. She enjoyed her starter while i had a bowl of freshly baked bread rolls ( alas not...

Four of us went for lunch, the sun was shining so we sat outdoors for our meal. The setting was beautiful. The food options looked good but were somewhat disappointing except for one of the dishes. The vegetarian starter was enjoyable but the soup was poor. The vegetarian main was excellent, the fish cakes were a disaster and the pork...

Put in a room next door to another couple who brought their baby with them. Suffice to say we were woken up at 5am in the morning. It's an old building ( nicely refurbished ) so paper thin walls. No compensation offered.by management. Waste of an expensive weekend away. Very nice food and friendly staff.

Always a great place for a special family lunch or dinner. Drinks in the cosy bar followed by fantastic food and service in a lovely setting by the river. Great in the winter or dine outside in the summer. Have had many meals here over the years and never disappoints.

Dinner, bed and breakfast in a fantastic setting. Relaxing, cosy, with beautiful rooms and a stunning restaurant. We loved the open fire in the reception area, and the bar with its local beers, fab gin cocktails and excellent wine list. The food was amazing too. The garden had a lovely seating area out by the fast running stream and there...

Our welcome was friendly, the setting is beautiful the grounds are delight. The food was delicious, our only comment was that we felt the food ordering was a little rushed and our starter arrived very quickly, we had hardly had a chance to finish our pre dinner drinks. But in their defence two large parties were just arriving and I...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a pretty privately owned restaurant with 7 lovely individually decorated bedrooms, serving gorgeous local or organic food. We try not to be pretentious, preferring instead to be informal and friendly, but we are still totally committed to quality and service. But the best part of all is the river and rambling gardens, home to a family of ducks and if you are lucky you might even spot a Kingfisher! ... more   less
