First of all, I will start with the good. Reasonable price, decent location. The bad news is, it is very dirty. We were there for 8 nights and did not have a toilet seat that entire time. The towels were given to us damp (their dryer is not vented properly, therefore does not dry correctly). The place has an odd...

There are not many choices in Benque. So to be fair, for Benque, this particular property may be a five. It is a neat looking place with Maya characters carved on the doors. The hard woods in the rooms and stonework and tile were nice. There was good water pressure and nice hot water in the shower. There was kind...

It's a great place, Benque is a small town and is not easy to find hotels like this. Is perfect if you want to see Xunantunich and if you go to Tikal because is closer to the frontier. The owner Steve was kind and gave me good advices. If you are looking calm between nature and locals... go there!

Nice room with a comfy bed and hot water (I was in the dorm). It was nice enough that $US22 for a dorm bed didn't feel overpriced, especially since I had the room to myself. Wifi only works if you sit out on the stairs. It's just under an hour to walk to the Xunantunich ruins which are great, especially...

I have written several reviews on this place and Tripadvisor said I broke the language rules. So I will keep it it brief and simple. It's not a SPA, It's not a Resort. The management/owner plays games. we didn't even stay, because of the terrible unsafe location. lost about 215.00 dollars plus taxi fees. baby diapers on the ground outside,...

Wow how we put it into words. Too say our stay was brilliant, would be a total understatement. Simply the best holiday experience, we've been privileged to be involved in. We couldn't thank trip advisor enough for directed us here. More importantly I'd like to thank one negative clowns review,as Steves reply was so we written, and now we know...

If you want to go to the interior of Belize, this is a great place to stay. My friend and I had the condo room, with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and huge balcony. It was a wonderful space. The hotel is so conveniently located in the center of town and close to San Ignacio and many ruins. Not...

Benque is a small, quiet town just outside of San Ignacio. The Resort is quaint and tucked away close to the river in a very safe neighborhood. Steve, the owner, makes your experience at the Resort one to remember. We had the downstairs 2-bedroom, 1 bath, kitchen condo and enjoyed it very much. If you're an early riser you can...

This is a small town, near the border of Guatemala. The hotel is in a neighborhood where people live, not in a secluded area so you experience local life. Tortillas, meat pies, fruit and more being sold down the street on a daily basis. We strolled the streets at night, feeling completely safe, and ate the local food without worry...

Fun experience. Owner was helpful and knowledgeable. The couple that run the hotel are and ex-Canadian and his wife a friendly Guatemalan woman. A good combination as they spoke English and Spanish. The owner is a excellent musician if you can persuade him to play. In the middle of a Belizean town for the full Belize experience. Close to mountains...
