We stayed for four nights in early February. This is very good lodging if you keep your expectations in check. This is a family run guest house without the amenities of a traditional hotel despite the price. It is a few duplex cottages arranged around a horse paddock with a building for breakfast/administration. Pros: --Included airport pick-up and drop-off were prompt --The location is great! Close walking to distance Tahai, the don't miss site for sunsets; also across the street from the Museum and close walking to the Moai, Toki. It's also a further walking distance to town but be aware the walking is all on uneven terrain and quite dark at night --It's very close to two restaurants--Puka Puka, our favorite on the island and Le Moai Sunset, OK food but good view --Our room was very clean and housekeeping service good; and the bed was comfortable w a good shower --Breakfast was very good with a nice selection including fresh fruit and juice and made to order eggs; the daily breakfast 'sweet' was always delicious. The breakfast service was good Cons: --Our room was very crowded with a large daybed that we didn't need or ask for --The room had an overhead fan and an electric floor fan (no AC) but the room got very hot during the day and took a while to cool down --Overall, maintenance is needed. The stone walk into our cottage was broken and uneven; and we were missing a window screen which added to the heat build-up in the room. One day, the gutter to our cottage was lying in the bushes --There is WIFI in the common building but it is sketchy as to when and how well it works; was hit or miss --The front desk staff was rarely available for local help. The only time to catch them seemed to be at breakfast; there were a number of times we had questions or a request but no one was around. Overall, a good experience considering the limited range of accommodations on the island.

Great staff, reasonably priced, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Would highly recommend. We also rented a car from Pikera Uri and it was in great condition. The overall experience was relaxed and refreshing.

Most unfriendly lady of the island who pick you up unpolite. Tour terevaka goes only up and down, horses seemed having no fun of the ride. they agree if a child is mean to horse and if you say something, they are angry on you. Isn t it about being friendly for your animales instead of thinking of money? And if you have a big group with children, you have to split the group and you need enough guides. Regret this trip.

Overall a comfortable clean family run guesthouse with large spacious rooms, large beds and hot shower. Gets hotter inside during day but fans at night are sufficient for cooling. A few mosquitoes around reception but none near rooms. Simple but fulfilling breakfast included but not much else. Water available for purchase on honesty system, comparable to buying in town (everything is expensive on this remote island). WiFi better then expected for a remote location in the pacific but don’t travel there to be on your devices. Convenient location for walkers- short stroll to sunset, pleasant walk along waterfront into town, and 45 minute roadside hike to nearest cave. Most other attractions will need a car. Airport pickup included so be sure to advise your flight details in advance.

You are in 2 min walk from 2 tahai and 10min walk from the Main Street of the town. Museum is just across the street. Rooms are basic but clean. Anything you need, reception will help you with. Just a perfect spot for overnight after all your excitement of exploring the island.
