Upon my arrival very early in the morning I got a cab from the airport to Orongo hotel where I had made reservations a week earlier. I was dropped off by the cab, then the driver got out and went around to one of the rooms. A few minutes later he arrived with the owner or manager (still not sure... More

After a very mediocre experience at a hostel (no hot water or cooking or toilet paper, ugh) I missed my flight and was left with an extra night in Hanga Roa (no complaints there). The other hostels were full and I wandered into Raul's courtyard here at Hotel Orongo around 5:30pm. Of corse I'd seen it many times during my... More

I booked through hotel.com which stated there's airport pickup. I made such request through hotel.com and also sent emails separately to this hotel, all without feedback. I finally asked my hotel at Santiago airport to arrange a telephone call to this hotel. I was told by the male host of this Orongo Hotel that I could simply take a taxi... More

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel, we just walked up and asked for a room and couldn’t be happier with our stay. The property is a big beautiful garden and I’ve never met nicer friendlier people EVER, they could not do enough for us, there is no better location to stay on the island. Did I mention how... More

We stayed at Raul's hotel for a few nights. The room was basic but clean and the bed comfy. Raul provided a very nice breakfast and we also had 2 of our dinners at the hotel. The meals were the best we had on the island. The hotel is right on the main road through town and a short walk... More

Call the hotel, don't book online. Online was more expensive than what they were asking. It is near tours, food, car and ATV rental, staff was super nice and spoke multiple languages, Hawaiian feel to island and hotel. The hotel was in the middle of everything. I could walk next door for tours, across the street for cheap but good... More

We arrived in Rapa Nui from Galapagos by sailboat. Walked down the Main Street and stopped at hotel Orango. We were greeted by Eriti, Inez and Raul, sisters and brother. All were multi lingual and very friendly. The grounds were like the Garden of Eden with fruits for the picking. During my stay I had a bad encounter with some... More

From the outset a poor tone was set when we were not picked up at the airport even though we had rung from Santiago to confirm this arrangement.. no apology or explanation. Other hoteliers at airport doing pick-up said Orongo Hotel often forgot to pick up guests. Rooms were not ready though only 2 other rooms were occupied. No one... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Orongo Hotel!! The owner, Raul, is really nice and helpful (he speaks English as well). He was taking care of me as I was traveling by myself. Really well located, in the "city" center. Breakfast was included and was a bit different every day (see photo). Would stay there again! Ps don't expect... More

We stayed there for 6 nights. The rooms are nice and very clean and have a fridge. The bed is comfortable and they change the sheets every 2nd night. Raul the owner is very kind and helpful. If you have any questions ask him. We ate 3 times the dinner in the Hotel and it was very delicious. The breakfast... More
