Location was excellent. easy walking distance to shops, supermarkets, the beach and restaurants. It was nice to be hosted by a family, and also having a different breakfast every day. Internet service was being worked on and was erratic

This is a moderate hotel, which is what we expected and certainly fit in with our image of Easter Island. Upon arrival at the airport, we were met by a staff member who efficiently and courteously escorted us to the hotel. The hotel is ideally situated a close 10 minute walk from town. Although modest, the setting of the hotel...

Iorana Thank you for your comment, we try to provide the best service we can on the island, as there is no cable or satellite television and radio is ever local or chilean there is little or no requirement for a radio o television in the rooms as very few of our guest speak spanish. Best regards Edith

When we booked this property we thought it was a hotel but in fact it's more a family guest house.run by Madame Edith. If you are frightened of cockroaches book somewhere else. One in the the bedroom upon arrival, one in the breakfast room the next morning and again one more the next day in the bathroom. We relied on the...

Iorana thank you for your comment, we realize that we are not a five star hotel, but we do try to provide good service to our clientele. As Easter Island is located in the subtropics we do have insects and specially cockroaches, the hotel is one of very few that have regular fumigation on a regular bases to overcome this...

You are thousands of miles away from mainland so you simply can't compare a hotel here with some fancy city centre affair in London or New York. Obviously. One of the surprises for me was how good the food in Easter Island was (if they can do it here then someone ought to tell the Canaries to drop the old...

Iorana Thank you for your detailed comment, we do not have a pool as there is no facilities on the island to service it, and the hotels that do have them are out of service or not clean, the alternative is the pacific ocean 5 minutes walk away, the hotel provides beach towels for your you. There is no cable...

Ruby handled the breakfast room single handed on a busy morning. Everyone enjoyed her service! She was very helpful in providing assistance for any need during a 4-day stay. Terry provided the greatest tour guidance for two full days. We got to see places beyond the regular tourist attractions, accompanied with family stories from his ancestors. What a treat! Terry...

Staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough nice things about them. Any questions or needs that I had around transport or excursions or advice were answered wonderfully. My room was clean and quite comfortable. The mini-fridge and electric kettle came very much in handy. Overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing, yet you're right off the main...

Iorana Thank you for your comment, we try to provide for your needs in the rooms, with ample space, writing table and chair, refrigerator, coffee and water facilities feeling fans and hair dryer, good quality bedding and linen, there are no television or radio, as the island does not have satellite or cable facility. Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. The owner was amazing and the staff very friendly. We wanted for nothing. Breakfast was made to order each day and the relaxing atmosphere was contagious. Only a short walk from any site you would want to visit and the airport pick up was an added bonus.

Edith and Bill and the rest of the staff do a wonderful job making you feel right at home. The rooms are simple and clean. The breakfast is outstanding, fresh, and changes daily. The coffee is actually good! Airport transfers, tour arrangements, taxis, and restaurant advice are all provided. But the real reason to stay is the warmth, generosity, and...

We spent 3 nights at Taura's and can say that the owners Bill and Edith enhanced our short visit to Easter Island. First of all I would like to say the room is adequate, good size, tea and coffee caddy is handy. Eventhough the rate is not cheap, We didn't expect luxurious room, this is a rather remote island, everything...

The owners were great. Clean room and the airport transfers and tours were great. It was a wonderful experience to be able to make one reservation and to know that we had transfers and tours all schedled too. The specialty breakfast was fantastic.
