Formula ostello molto semplice e spartana, ma molto pulito. Piccolo appunto...caffè e latte in polvere... Comunque nessun problema. …
This is a hostal with beautiful garden, very friendly staff, seaview and 5 minutes walk to city center and 10 minutes to Ahu Tahai where we had sunset picnic admiring the Moais. There is a continental-like breakfast in the nice, light breakfast/kitchen room (can also be used for own cooking/eating after 1200). We stayed in a simply furnished room with beds and a shower. We had a balcony with sea view (on distance). No AC, but ok with windows open in the night. Bring ear plugs though, many roosters crowing until sunrise. Wifi works in reception building. Free pick up from and to airport. All hotels are quite expensive in Hanga Roa. Considering that, this is a less pricey, simpler choise for a stay on Easter island.
We stayed in Dec 2018. Booked 2 rooms. Positive: Great Location, close and walking distance to town center, and Ahu Tahii. Ahu Tahii is an archeological site with awesome sunset views. Complaints: Room 1 sliding door doesn’t close without a struggle. 1st day, employees had to come close/lock the door for us. Since then we had to lift the door from the frame to close. Every time we do that we felt it will fall off the frame. Room 1 - every time we shut the bathroom door, it didn’t fit in the frame, so we had to slam the door. Every time that happened, the casing on the outlet kept falling down. Room 1. Bugs in the room. Room1 and Room 2 - Toilets didn’t flush the first day. When complained, the a guy who was in charge at the front office, gave us a plunger and asked us to deal with it. We did, we had no choice. Second time they did not flush, when complained, a lot, the guy kept saying he is not responsible for the hotel and was just manning the station. We literally got water from water from shower Which was very low pressure, filled toilet tank, to flush. Few HOURS later, one employee came to check and said, "oh the water was shut off"! What???? Why was the water shut off? Room1 & room 2: hot water didn’t work. When it works it works for a short time. You have to be like 'flash', get in, shower fast if you want hot water. No one at the reception is ever available. All employees are gone for most part of the day. You have a problem, no one to talk to. Bathroom windows are at eye level and no curtains. Anyone CAN peek in if they want to while you are in bathroom No fans or AC. It’s stuffy in the room if windows are not open. Windows open- noisy from neighbor property. Neighbor, a residential property, plays music till late at night There are roosters on the property which starts crowing(?) starting at 4AM. Breakfast doesn’t start till 8:30. Most tours starts before that. So we went out and ate breakfast at outside restaurant- a suggestion, It helps if breakfast starts earlier.…
