If one is traveling to Easter Island one needs to understand the tropical environment in a remote part of the world. It is not a plush environment and the Kaimana Inn is not plush. However, the value is good for the Island, centrally located and Marcelo is an excellent host. There are no plush hotels on the Island, thank goodness,...

I think "Desert_Quark" is exactly right. Many establishments are little Inn's run by local families and the accommodations are somewhat like 1925. They're everything you need, but not all the "little things" you are accustomed to having at a Hampton Inn - but relatively speaking - you're also paying less than a high-cost destination Hampton Inn too. Marcelo, the owner,...

Marcelo does airport transfer as part of his service. His english is quite good. My room was cleaned daily, bed comfortable and shower was good. Great undercover outdoor sitting / eating area. No provision for self catering though there is a microwave. Marcelo is very helpful with tour suggestions. Everything on the Island is expensive and the rate at the...

We had high hopes based on the reviews. These hopes were dashed the first night when at 3:30 am the rooster next door started crowing and did not stop until mid morning - just in time for the drilling to start and continue all day long. After 4 days of no sleep, the large bugs in our screenless room no...

The Kaimana Inn was a great, friendly place to stay. Marcelo and his family and staff made me feel very much at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and well-suited to those who seek to gain a feel for what Rapa Nui is truly like. The room I had was simple, neat and nice. Breakfast was great each morning, the staff...

We spent 4 nights at Kaimana Inn and had a lovely time. Marcel met us at the airport and presented us with the traditional flower necklace which was a lovely touch! We also had a delicious fresh welcome juice. The room was basic but very clean. The inn has an area for preparing food although we didnt actually use it...

We stayed here in late September and found it perfect for our needs. Nothing fancy, and doesn't pretend to be. Clean, quiet (except for chickens and dogs, but they are everywhere and we have them at home, so it was nothing unusual) and Willy is a great dog, too. Reasonable price, friendly staff, transportation to and from the airport -...

I decided to rewrite this review because the previous review was too destructive to the owner, so I requested to cancel my last review and rewrite this new one. I will list the improvements needed so that Marcelo can do some modification to the rooms. 1. Lacking of sufficient light. If you are travelling with girls and women, then they...

When you land in Rapa Nui you very fast come to realize that you made time travel back almost 100 years, in our imagination this is how Hawai was a century ago. And Kaimana Inn is not different. So do not expect a 4* resort, but a boutique family hotel from 1925 run like a bed and breakfast, with style...

The Inn's location is excellent being in town, it is close to restaurants, a short walk to the main street, shops and tour agencies. The room was clean and the service good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner on collecting me from the airport did a short drive around town to help orient me about where things...
