The dorm room is spacious with two bathrooms (only cold water) The sheets are good quality cotton and the beds comfortable. There were very few visitors, so maybe that was the reason for the bathrooms not being that clean. Food is available and I enjoyed everything although unde

Possibly the most naturally beautiful place you will ever stay, right in the volcanic crater on the waterfront. Really helpful staff, good food, with lots of veggie options, pool table, nice rooms and very reasonably priced.

Can't fault the location, right on the lake. The rooms are also spacious with comfortable beds.

There is a wide selection of food, but its overpriced on reflection with small portions that will leave you hungry and wanting more food.

The staff I generally found to be unfriendl

Nothing to fault here for location and choice of food. Took the oasis hostel shuttle from Granada . 10 dollars pp for journey there and back and hire of kyacks. Included tea and coffee there and use of the rings and bouyancy aids . Staff were nice and great food selection . Only

This hostel is great. Friendly, relaxing, excellent location, and very helpful permanent staff. The advantage is everything is available in the one spot and the price is right. The only downside for me was the attitude of the volunteers, who turned off fans despite 35+ degree Cel

Interested in renting 7 kayaks the week of July 5-11. Do you provide this service and how much do you charge? Thanks, Laura
Hi Laura, I'm pretty sure they don't rent out kayaks, since they are used every day by guests staying at the hostel. Even though July is not high season,so it might be possible and I recommend sending them an email :-)

Are there nature trails with in walking distance. And or do you get to monkeys? Are there sloths here? :) thanks!
I believe there are but I didn't have enough time to explore them. Not sure if you get great animal sightings though. I know there are some great hikes with sloths and maybe monkeys close by but you'd need to take a taxi or bus (e.g., mombacho volcano)

How much is transportation to and from airport?
I can't remember exactly but I want to say it was $30 or $35 total for two of us. It definitely wasn't more expensive than that (cheaper if anything). Our hotel (selva azul) coordinated it for us.

Does a double room with shared bathroom accommodate four people? The listing of room types is a little confusing.
I'm not sure, I stayed next door at Selva Azul and they have a variety of room sizes to accommodate many different types and sizes of groups. Anytime I hear a double room at a place in Nicaragua I think 2 people only (2 twin beds or 1 double bed). My guess is you would need two doubles for four people.

How many beds there are by dormitory ? And it possible to book a whole dormitory for a group of 10 people ? Thanks =)
"The "upstairs" dorm is the freshest and have two bathrooms."

"take a lot of sunscreen if you plan to use the kayaks !"
"Get the room with the best view"
