I much preferred this to the other similarly priced hotel options in Uvira. Better service, nicer rooms and more comfortable overall. After weeks of disfuntional hotels, it was a welcome respite. Staff even went into town to buy some medicine I needed. Definitely less of a hassle than crossing to Burundi to sleep each night.

This place is by no means perfect, but after working in the Kivus for awhile you start longing for it. For starters, there is no electricity between about 11AM and 6PM and then between midnight and 530 or 6AM. If you want to have fish ask for it in advance. They have a deep lake fish called Kuhe. Its wonderful. I understand the garden will be done... More

Having stayed in a number of different Congolese towns, my expectations were very low indeed. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, the size of my room and the general amenities. I found the food excellent, service friendly and location great. Rooms had curtains, TV, fan, bar fridge (!) and a bathroom with shower and... More

Despite being in a good position with a great view of the lake far from the traffic of the city center this hotel waste a good potential. Rooms are fine and clean and all with balcony with view over the lake, the hall is big and nice and there is a decent free wifi. The kitchen is very good and... More
