This was our 2nd visit to The Falls at Montville, and once again, we were greeted on arrival by the very friendly owners and immediately made to feel welcome. The cottages are private and cosy but also spacious and have the most wonderful views of the surrounding rainforest. The location is extremely peaceful and relaxing and just a short walk to the Kondalilla National Park and some fabulous walks. As well, the beautiful town of Montville is just a few minutes drive away.
Included in the stay is a very generous and delicious supply of breakfast foods, teamed with a daily delivery of freshly baked croissants or danish pastries. Such a lovely treat!
The addition of a fireplace, some lovely port, fresh flowers, and the availability of a reliable wifi connection with access to all the streaming services on TV, makes this place a fantastic choice for a romantic getaway or just a chance to relax and unwind.
We recommend The Falls very highly

The Falls is a magical place with beautiful rainforest cabins, spectacular views, and outstanding hosts. Alan and Aryna bent over backwards to assist us with organising everything, including massage therapists, cheese platters & champagne, restaurant recommendations and much much more. The cabins were spotless with exceptional attention to detail, from the fresh roses, the complimentary port and gourmet breakfast provisions to the relaxing music playing in your room upon arrival. In close proximity to restaurants, shops and cafe's but perfectly secluded in its own oasis, this is a perfect place for a getaway to rest and recharge. What a treat and highly recommended. We will be back!

Our group of 5 couples in our 60"s and 70's recently stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful place in Montville, South East Queensland in the Sunshine coast hinterland. The manor house was magnificent and we all had our own double or queen sized bedroom with a generously sized en-suite. Our host could not have been more helpful and friendly ensuring all our needs were met. The breakfast ingredients that were provided were cooked up on the barbecue, and were so delicious. We enjoyed this meal on the front verandah. This property is very well maintained, immaculately clean with everything that we could possibly wish for, available in the generously sized kitchen. We were also given a tour of one of the onsite cabins which were also very clean and very well maintained. Anyone who stayed at this property will not be disappointed.

Alan and Aryna were such accommodating hosts. My partner currently has some difficulty walking and it was never an issue to be driven the couple of hundred metres to or from our cabin, including taking us to and from a local restaurant for dinner. The breakfast spread was perfect and substantial with local produce and no request was an issue. Small details like a decanter of port was a winner! Our cabin's location felt it was miles away from anyone and beautifully warm with the fire going. Thanks so much for your hospitality!! Highly recommend

What a delightful experience a stay at The Falls is! From the very first telephone conversation with Alan, to our sad drive out to return home, everything was top notch.
Alan is a marvellous host and we immediately felt at home. The location is stunning, with wonderful views across the valley and a lovely walk down to the Kondalilla Falls a must. It is quiet and the cottages are discretely placed amongst the rain forest. Alan recommended and even booked places for us to eat, which we really appreciated.
The breakfast offerings are generous and first class with every option considered; muesli and cereal, yummy local yoghurt, bacon, eggs, mushies, tomatos and avocados, a loaf of bread, butter, jam, vegemite etc. Just wow! There is plunger coffee, which was delicious and also an offer of espresso style coffee from reception (providing the owners have the time to make it for you). There are chocolates and port, and danish pastries delivered for brekky each morning. Heavenly.
The cottage (we stayed in Lacebark) has a microwave, several electric fry pans, a BBQ and other cooking accoutrements should you wish to do it yourself.
The fireplace is set and ready for use.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we were delighted to see that instead of a heavy doona (ensuring a boiling nights sleep), blankets were offered.
Montville itself is about 3 kms away and an easy drive. Should you wish to enjoy alcohol with your evening meal, a drop off and collection service is also freely offered. Walking into Montville is definitely not recommended as it is a dark, winding road with no footpaths.
This really is a magical place and we thoroughly recommend it as a great place to feel like you are getting away from it all, yet still be close to all the location has to offer.
A vehicle to get here would be the best means of transport, though I can well imagine that if you were to consider arriving by public transport, the hosts would collect you from where you were dropped off.

What a fabulous Tripadvisor handle!11 Hello FarflungEddie!! Thanks very much for the detailed reflection on your stay. It is highly valuable when reviews delve into more than just the accommodation stayed at. Your words have many useful gems. The walk straight out to Kondalilla Falls. The privacy of the cottage setting. Locally roasted coffee. The distance to the delightful village of Montville. Complimentary dinner transfers. A car being a must... Thanks for your insightful input. You were delightful guests and it would be our privilege to host you again in the future. Warm regards Alan and Aryna

We booked The Falls for an escape from the real world for a couple of days and couldn't have found a more perfect location. Alan and Aryna are amazing hosts, making sure that the cottage has everything catered for with some special touches that were totally unexpected. Alan took us through everything we needed to know and nothing was too much.
The location is so very peaceful and the cottage was the perfect size that there was no need to leave except we wanted to explore the falls and also Montville. The fire was the perfect size to keep the cottage warm and cozy and the bed was comfortable. The provisions for breakfast were plentiful and locally sourced which made them so much more delicious, and the addition of a home made pastry was a nice touch!
Thank you Alan and Aryna, our stay at your beautiful property was exactly what we needed.

We recently paid a return visit to The Falls - this time staying with a group of friends in the Manor house. We had a wonderful time! Alan and Aryna go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable, happy and have plenty of food (LOTS of lovely fresh local produce in the fridge as well as visits from Alan with warm pastries). Alan and Aryna also provided up to date advice about the surrounding area, eg. the best restaurants, complimentary shuttle buses, interesting local events, walks, sightseeing etc. The Montville area is beautiful to experience but the accommodation was a delight to return to with its clean rooms, well stocked fireplace, magnificent old furniture and glorious views from the back deck. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Thanks for your exceptional hospitality Alan and Aryna.

Pulling up to the manor house, we could see the overwhelming beauty of the place from the get go. Walking into reception greeted by Allan, who can only be described as the perfect host. As I was currently nursing an injury and on crutches his attention to detail, his care and attitude made our stay what it was. A wander down the boardwalk through the rainforest really reveals the tranquility and peace of the location. As we walked into our cabin we were blown away by the place, beautiful spa bath, cast iron fireplace, comfortable bed, and all with plenty of room to enjoy the space. The breakfast provided was a lovely mix of bacon, eggs, fresh bread, yoghurts, deserts and even home made croissants. All the facilities were exceptional, and the finer details really bought it up to another standard, touches like heated towels rails, wifi, rainfall shower heads and the fireplace. All in all, an exceptional place to spend nights away from it all. We will definately be back, couldn’t recommend it enough.

Beautiful property with stunning views! The cottage was clean and well-maintained, with a spa in the room offering a lovely view.
Each morning, we were delighted by fresh croissants delivered to our door, along with fresh fruits, eggs, and local dairy products. The hosts were absolutely lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
It was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing.

Where do we start? First of all the accommodation ,we stayed in the Tamarind cottage in the most tranquil area of The Falls surrounded by nature at its finest, beautifully decorated and very spacious , every detail was thought out ,decanter of port fridge full of goodies Rose's dressing gowns etc .The location is fantastic a 15 minute walk to Montville lots of lovely café and shopping, or a walk to the Falls stunning scenery.
Our hosts Alan & Aryan were the most amazing couple so attentive and nothing was to much trouble , they where a delight welcoming us with a lovely coffee a fresh warm bread ,they made us feel right at home and went above and beyond taking us to different restaurants and picking us up after dinner .To sum up the whole experience was magical and one we will never forget ,I would recommend that you pay a visit we hope to return from Scotland in the near future and have made friends for life
