What an amazing place, from the minute I walked into reception and was greeted by an amazing and friendly owner we knew this was the place for us. The Gatsby cottage was extremely clean and presentable, heaps of additional extras were at our fingertips in case we needed them. The view from the veranda was stunning and was the perfect location for a cheese plater and drink or two. It is so quiet here you just feel like you are on your own. The location is perfect with just a short drive into Montville. We have been coming to this area for years but have not found a place that exceeded all our expectations such as this. Well done to the amazing owners and staff who obviously take pride in their work. 10/10 we will be back.....

Our two-night stay at ‘The Charleston’ cottage at Montville Misty View Cottages couldn’t be faulted. It really was the ultimate getaway and so easy to travel to from where we live on the Sunshine Coast. Shell, Tony and Luca were magnificent hosts. Once settled in, we felt like we were the only people in the world!

My husband and I opted for the ‘Indulgence Package’, including a bottle of wine, fabulous and plentiful breakfast provisions for two days, a delicious Reef and Beef Dinner on one night with all elements of the meal ready for us in the Cottage, plus complimentary chocolate and port. The couples massage in our room was also amazing and we both felt like we were floating on air afterwards.

We really didn’t need to leave our Cottage the whole time we were there, but we took a five-minute drive into the valley to see up close the beautiful Baroon Pocket Dam that our Cottage looked out over. The lush and diverse vegetation that surrounded us at the Cottage provided amazing privacy, quiet and a beautiful outlook over the bush, hills and the Dam/Lake.

The Cottage was so comfortable and very tastefully appointed and had everything we could need or want during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Misty View Cottages and the ‘misty view’ is a real thing! Light rain during our stay only added to the ambience as we watched the mist rise and fall over the dam and valley across the three days. We even got the chance to light a fire in the wood fireplace and enjoyed even more charm in our little paradise get-a-way!

Suprise weekend away for my Birthday! My husband couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Having travelled a fair bit and accustomed to a 5-star romantic getaway from time to time, this place has to be one of the best we have ever experienced. The quality of Service, Accommodation, and attention to detail was exceptional. King Parrots visited us of a morning while we watched the mist clear for Lake Baroon. Being Coeliac was not an issue as the owners catered daily for my dietary needs. Apart from a magnificent, serene view, the cabin was immaculate. The owners had supplied us with complimentary bath salts, candles for the beautiful spa. Bath robes and slippers that we changed into and soon became the attire for the entire weekend. Gluten free muesli, bread, sausages, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms was a great meal to start the day alongside orange juice and coffee. At 8am every morning we received fresh Gluten Free Croissants which filled the cabin with such an aroma. The complimentary port set up with glasses was a beautiful touch while we sat by the fire with our happy hour platter we had bought with us. Once I set foot in this cabin, I did not want to leave. Fortunately, the owner's source and deliver platters for you to cook during your stay. We chose the Reef and Beef! 2 eye fillets, garlic prawns, and a Salad were delivered to us to enjoy. Pecan pie and cheesecake was the dessert of the day! Absolutely delicious. This cabin sits far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough (at the end of the street) is Montville cafe's shops and restaurants. Best of both worlds. I found the wine cellar at reception handy as we grabbed a bottle of port to take home with us. I can't wait to go back again one day. The cabin we stayed in was called the Savoy. You have to stay here; you will not regret it!

We stayed at Misty View Cottages in Lalique for our Anniversary 💖

The cottage was beautiful & we especially loved the pool & daybed & spent nearly all our time out there. We really appreciated the styling & little touches like the candles, rug & bathrobes as those things just made it all that more luxurious.

The meals were absolutely delicious, good value & very generous and the fresh warm croissants every morning were such a beautiful treat.

Toasting marshmallows over the open fire each night was divine too!

We highly recommend staying here, you won’t want to leave, we didn’t.

Thanks Shelly & Tony, we will be back.

Staying at Misty View Cottages was an amazing experience. The cottages are set up perfectly, there is plenty of firewood and the breakfast hamper was unexpected and abundant. I loved the BBQ and being able to cook in the cottage.

The view of the lake was incredible. I loved watching the view change throughout the day. My first morning in the cabin, I realised why they call it misty view.

We will definitely be back next year.

I saw these Misty View Cottages on the internet and thought it would be a great place to send my parents for an early anniversary holiday.
My parents absolutely loved it! Right from when they first checked In at reception to when they left they felt welcomed and looked after.
I got a number of the food packages for them and they mentioned that the food was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared and there was plenty of it.
They said the view from the balcony and windows was spectacular and they also liked how secluded their cottage was.
The cottage was spotless with lots of little extra touches that made it even more special.
The hosts, Shell and Tony were so lovely and accommodating!
Thankyou for making this such a special stay for my parents.
I highly recommend Misty View Cottages to anyone who is staying in the area.

We stayed in Savoy cabin. Nestled in a scenic location, the view was lovely, providing a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind.

The amenities were top-notch, offering everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The dinner hamper was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful and satisfying, especially the fresh hot crossaints delivered to your door!

Overall, this accommodation provided a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and excellent service. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to escape and recharge.

Our Cosy studio Cabin complete with fireplace with all firewood and kindling supplied, and comfortable lounge which enjoyed spectacular views over Lake Orr and the surrounding rainforest.

The heated plunge pool and Day bed were perfect for a mid morning swim. The spa bath, a way to warm up on a cool evening was fantastic.

The host was delightful and generous including a gorgeous breakfast hamper with local produce and eggs from their free range chickens on the property. We enjoyed cooking a hearty breakfast with homemade bread on the bbq each morning for our stay.

We woke each morning to warm croissants hanging outside the front door hearing the noise of the rainforest birds. Tranquil, peaceful and a perfect getaway for two.

A short drive to Montville village for a shop and a bite to eat was fantastic, a round of golf and lunch in Maleny, a visit to the Chocolate factory or cheese factory a must do. Walking distance to the Local winery. So much to do if it pleases you. It is easy to relax and do very little.

Highly recommended for a break from all the noise in our lives.

We booked for one night, stayed for two and wish we had the time to stay longer. We stayed in the Savoy. Fabulous view across to the lake. Immaculately furnished cottage. We didn't use the TV nor played music, just sat and enjoyed the sounds of the surrounding bush.

We indulged in purchasing the Welcome Hamper as well as the Seafood Hamper for dinner as we were time challenged in not organising food for our stay NOR did we want to head out to any of the local restaurants in Montville or Maleny. A fabulous decision! Hampers are amazing.

The included Breakfast hamper had a great mix of cereal, fruit, juice and the good ole eggs/bacon/tomato. BUT the big surprise was delivery of fresh Croissants delivered to our door at 8am each morning.

We very much look forward to returning.

Shell SINCERE THANKS from Theresa and I in taking such good care of us.

Beautiful experience. As private and isolated as we wanted it to be while being cosy and accessible. The food was delicious, views spectacular, bed so comfy, and the perfect sized fireplace for our cold nights. Wood barreled port and fresh croissants daily were a true bonus. We were close enough to town and hiking trails to make the experience that much more enjoyable. We’d highly recommend staying here.
