The Inn's central location meant we could explore, eat & drink locally without any worries. Restaurants and shops all within walking distance meant not needing to plan anything too far ahead. The room was comfortable and peaceful, and the staff lovely. Will absolutely be back!

We always stay at the Montville Mountain Inn, and are never disappointed. The location is an easy stroll into the village, there is a tennis court and swimming pool and the staff are very accommodating. We travelled with a group of disabled adults and they made sure we had ground floor rooms, and were very helpful when I had to book an extra room, then cancel it again. Sorry!! We were late to check in, but were assured that it wasn't a problem. The rooms are basic, but clean and have everything we need.

Staff were very friendly and the grounds were immaculately kept, however, I think a wifi extender is required because the signal strength was that bad, tv services were glitchy and we ended up giving up on watching anything. Not that tv is incredibly important, just don't advertise wifi if the technology is stuck in the 90s.
Also the "cooked" breakfast with poached eggs was dissapointing, the meal was prepared in the microwave and was more reminissant of something from MacDonalds rather then a BnB in Montville.

Although I enjoyed the stay, would still recommend the property and had pleasant service, for the price charged, it was underwhelming. The property is dated and undermaintained (especially gardens and around pool and tennis court - lots of weeds & overgrown). Room was dated although bedding & towels clean and comfortable. Testing and tagging 4 years past due. Aircon worked well as did shower (heaps of pressure). There was mould/stains in the shower and on the ceiling in the room, no breakfast available although advertised online and in brochures, and ice tray empty on arrival. Miniature milk capsules x 5 for a 2 night stay for 2 adults no-where near enough even for 1 coffee each. Advertising a Smart TV but you can connect to your own "paid tv" accounts doesn't make sense, I would have thought cable TV would be standard for this price point. Lounge seat was uncomfortable (think it was a fold out bed, which would not have been comfortable to sleep on) - the padding was very saggy and you could feel the steel frame across your legs when sitting on it. A couple of the upstairs rooms aircon leak/purge onto the veranda deck so rotting the timber and drips down onto ground floor seating areas. As mentioned, the stay was enjoyable, but for this price point, all of the above items should be top notch and up to date/maintained. I hope that things turn around for the property and owners, and that they are able to put more time into the property as the location is wonderful and the property could be awesome at this price point with some basic adjustments and maintenance.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We have (like most businesses) struggled with staff shortages over the last year or so, and happy to say this is turning around. It's worth mentioning that the property is on several acres of "bush" which loses it's charm when manicured too closely. In-room breakfast service is not currently offered and we'll address this with Booking.com for more accuracy. Our reception staff try hard to cover all contingencies and ask guests to let us know if they need anything during their stay. Unfortunately, it seems that some guests prefer to write on line after their stay instead. In-room feedback forms are also on order and we are always happy to receive constructive comments from guests, so that we can maintain good quality experience for our guests.

The accommodation was perfect for my book club with 8 of us very happy with the accommodation, location and amenities. Service was friendly and efficient and although we were located at the front there was minimal traffic noise or issues. There is an excellent bar/restaurant attached for very easy access. Would recommend for a Montville stay in the heart of the main area.

2 night getaway on a Friday/Saturday for our wedding anniversary. Our room was at the back of the property in the downstairs units. Car park right outside the door, but also a nice little table & chairs for taking in the view and having our breakfast. We found the room to be plenty spacious enough with a Queen bed and a couch and a decent size bathroom and kitchenette with microwave. We elected to get the breakfast for $12 each and it was well cooked bacon and eggs. Only thing missing was the traditional pot of coffee (it could have been delivered via the good old fashioned hatch). Great position for a walk through the town, and plenty of drives to great scenic views (weather permitting). All staff with whom we had contact were lovely and friendly. NB: when the staff recommend the bar next door for dinner - DON'T DO IT!!! We did, and regretted it. Bad service, poor food, and altogether unpleasant.

We stayed overnight in a room at the back of the property (room 14). It was quiet, spotlessly clean, had a comfortable bed and was handy to everything in Montville village. We had dinner at the Montville pub (attached to the Montville Mountain Inn Resort) and found the meals to be good quality and value for money.
We would definitely stay here again!

This is the third time my friend and I have stayed at Montville mountain inn for a girls getaway. The staff are very friendly, the room was tidy and clean, the beds comfy. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and tennis court. Even though every unit appeared to be occupied it was very quiet. We decided to have breakfast delivered and for $12 could not have asked for better. I ordered the hot breakfast which came with toast, 2 perfectly poached eggs, tomato and a huge pile of bacon. It was still hot and was delicious. Thank you will be back

This place is fantastic, room was very clean and comfortable. It is in a great location, can walk down the street to the pretty shops and eating places, or if you don't feel like walking you can get a meal and drink next door at the Montville Cafe Bar & Grill. Highly recommend!
