The staff were warm and friendly and really made our visit memorable. The four poster bed in the Garden bedroom is gorgeous and the mattress extremely comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and the service impeccable. Can't fault our stay at all and we shall be returning to the Devonhire Arms soon.

stayed for my wife's birthday, and have to admit this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, in the UK, made to feel special from the minute you arrive. Greeted by the well dressed doorman (bell boy) in the car park as you arrive, ask if we were staying, took our bags from the boot and said they...

Just spent a lovely day at the spa at this hotel. It was very quiet and peaceful and totally relaxing. I had the full day package that included 2 and a half hours of treatments which were second to none as the beauty therapist, Debra was excellent. I had a very lovely lunch as part of it too served in...

Coffee making facilities in the room which were very welcome after a walk along the river bank! Delicious home-made biscuits too, a nice touch. The meal we had...

The new Maitre de- Salvatore is a real asset - his kind, friendly and unpretentious advice regarding the wine was much appreciated. This hotel makes you feel like...

When we arrived and parked the car, the concierge came out to take our luggage and escort us through to the reception area immediately inside. We passed through the porch which boasted many pairs of wellingtons, fishing gear and walking sticks.....but alas we were not here long enough to be able to use these any of these items. After a...

The ambience is classy but relaxed, country-esque. The staff are very professional and welcoming and they also offer a dog sitting service for those dinning. This is our second stay and I would highly recommend it. Their standard rooms are the Wharfdale rooms are they are lovely. The rooms get booked up when they are hosting a wedding so worth...
