The hotel is very impressive and there is a good sized car park. The staff welcome you to a lovely hotel and escort you around the hotel so that you know what is available. Staff offer to carry luggage to your room and once in your room they explain a little of the history of the room and the amenities in...

A perfect location in the beautiful Yorkshire Countryside but also accessible to Towns and Villages. The Devonshire Arms is quiet and friendly all the staff are very helpful. The bedrooms are well presented and have every amenity . There are plenty of areas within the hotel to sit and have a drink and a choice of restaurants

This is the sort of hotel to use for a celebration. We took our daughters and their husbands there to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The hotel bedrooms are good but the superior rooms are exquisite! The restaurants are a delight and breakfast in the conservatory is splendid particularly when the sun shines in as you eat! This is a country...

The Devonshire Arms is a classic country house hotel:not too fancy, all in good taste, delightful setting with excellent nearby walks and (with a minor exception at Reception) a very welcoming and professional staff. Our room in the original building had a four poster bed and was very comfortable, albeit not luxurious (with poor bedside reading lights), but tastefully decorated....

So much praise is given for the accommodation, but they do not mention the shallow stairs, handrails on both sides, hot water bottles, bathrobes & slippers, windows you can OPEN, a comfy chair, a writing desk lovely little touches of special creams on your pillow, A SILENT fridge with fresh milk & other goodies... Lovely little, absolutely fresh, Parkin cake...

Felt like we were visiting a country house for a week-end. From the navy and white dog wallpaper in the sitting room to the old fashioned sun room where we were served a splendid breakfast, hospitality and comfort were abundant. There were also lovely walks right from the hotel.

My self and my husband booked a 2 night stay at the Devonshire over a weekend and stayed in one for the deluxe double rooms. The room was well appointed and very clean. We were provided with home made cakes in the room on arrival a very nice touch! From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for...

A stunning Sunday lunch. I would suggest booking advance as we saw a lot of people that rocked up without a reservation and couldn't be seated. It's a set menus but there is lots of choice. It's good size portions and everything is extremely tasty.

Stayed here for one night to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The hotel was fantastic - excellent, helpful, friendly staff; great room with a lovely view (we received a complimentary upgrade); lovely grounds and spa facility and a ideal location for exploring Bolton Abbey. We had a 6 course meal in the evening and it was sensational! I highly recommend this...
