We travelled asia for 6 weeks (Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines), but Amumbung was the nicest accomodation we had on this trip. We stayed in one of the Nipa-huts which are small, but with a great garden that provides privacy and secludedness. Everything is designed with the heart of the owners so that we felt home from the very beginning. There is...

Amazing place to stay in Panglao! Very clean and charming, perfect location - not far away from Alona and still peacefully quiet. I have not a single complaint about the place - everything was working perfectly - even the breakfast was delicious :) We loved to chill on the hammock during late afternoons. All the staff and owners are exceptionally...

I enjoyed my staying in Alumbung. I enjoyed the tropical living, proximity to the beach and quite atmosphere away from the busy Alona. The place us very accessible to the beach, restaurants and Alona area. Will definitely come back. Donot miss the afternoon massage at the rest area. Totally worth it. Thanks Sylvia and Roberto for the great hospitality and...

Stumbled upon Alumbung on AirBnb. It was the best decision for staying in Panglao. The place was beautiful and all of the rooms and villas were tastefully designed. Everything was nice and breezy. Food was very good and the owners were very friendly. My only advice would be, bring mosquito repellant. The place was very nice!

My review is long overdue. I loved Alumbung resort and have shared my experience with many friends. I stayed in a cottage with 2 other friends for 3 days after some stressful work days in Manila. I was looking to disconnect from the city hussle and enjoy a few peaceful days in the middle of nature and this place definitely...

Visited alumbung in November and booked they're 4 night package which included transfers and trips and a massage and daily breakfast. Pick up and transfers from the airport and each day for trips were always on time and with a private taxi. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming and willing to answer any questions. The breakfast was...

We stayed here just for one night. The Owner (Slyvie) was very helpful, I was seeking information regarding the tours in Bohol and she patiently answer my query and booked the tours for us!! It is a very good resort with excellent customer service , very good homemade breakfast! Shame they don't have restaurant in the resort but it's not...

We stayed at Lumbung Cottage for 3 nights. I booked last minute directly through their web page and I had a quick answer telling me they were expecting us that afternoon. Nice, easy and smooth. It's located close but further enough from Alona Beach so you can scape from the (in my opinion) too noisy atmosphere. Even if you're diving...

The owners and their chambermaid were lovely! They had good information for us about the area and made us feel welcome with a wunderfull breakfast served to our terrace every...

A corner of paradise awaits you at Alumbung. Behind the tall wooden gates lies a lush garden of gentle swaying palms and manicured grass peppered with hints of colour from Balinese parasols and tropical flowers. It is a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and the perfect place to relax and unwind, whether that is on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Alumbungs is a small tropical garden approximately 25 minutes away from Tagbilaran and three minutes ride from the renowned Alona Beach. The special shape of the villa and cottage roofs is derived from the typical Balinese Lumbung structure where the upper part of each hut served as a rice barn and the bottom part as a meeting place for the family. This is the perfect place for family vacations, honeymooners or for people that just want to relax. ... more   less
