I traveled to Bohol with a group of 5 other friends and found L'Elephant Bleu through TripAdvisor. We stayed 3 nights. I booked an Aircon Family Room and an Aircon Cottage through Agoda.com. Aircon Cottage: clean, spacious, with a large bed. Clean shower/bathroom, good water pressure with heater. Aircon working very well. We experienced no electricity fluctuations. Aircon Family Room:...

Very simple, i stay 5 nights in the hotel aircon room, and for the price, my room was big, clean everyday and very well located. It's in the middle of everything, quick acces to the beach (4-5 min walking distance), to the small shop/grocery, to the taxi moto or tricycle. Well i really enjoy my stay. The best was the...

I stayed five nights in a cottage (not the 'rooms' annex across the street above the Swiss restaurant). The rooms are well designed and the bathrooms are great with super water pressure. The cottages are grouped together with a common sitting area, so a lot depends on the neighbors you happen to have. The French restaurant on the grounds was...

Thank you for your review, a short answer on your comment about our resort's location : it is beside a road and we can't do much about the motorbikes without muffler who pass by untroubled by the police.. as for the distance, we are located exactly 200 meters from the beach, a short 5-minute pleasant walk for most.

L'elephant Bleu was super accommodating and kind. Our friend cancelled their reservation at the last minute due to emergency surgery and was still given a refund. We were really grateful about that. The first few days we didn't have hot water no matter how many ways we tried to reboot the system in our room. When we told the front...

I was really excited to spend four nights in this hotel after reading the great reviews about this place. I read the previous poster's issues with being taken to a place across the street, and that's where we were led. It seems that L'Elephant Bleu was expanding to that place, so I didn't think about it. We booked a fan...

Thank you for your review. On the ongoing construction from our neighbour we have absolutely no responsibility for it nor can we do much about it apart from asking them not to start too early and not to work at night, which they did. It will be finished by March 10 anyway. We do not operate nor own the restaurant...

I stayed 4 nights at the elephant bleu and I had a very pleasant time; It is very quiet and peaceful place, the bungalow are new, clean and nicely decorated. It is less than 5min from Alona beach so no need for a swimming pool! The staff was very friendly and the owner helped me organized my trips. Ask for...

Before I even leave for Cebu, I have already informed L'elephant Bleu that I will check-in late as I will be doing the country side tour first. They agree to it and will hold the reservation for me. When I approach the front desk, the staff actually brought me to another resort, Paragayo resort. They said that I will instead...

I am the owner of L'Eléphant Bleu Cottages and just read your review. I am deeply sorry for the mix-up and the bad experience you had. The double booking came from DirectWithHotels after we received bookings from Agoda, our supplier (DWH is supposed to get a confirmation/acknowledgement from us to secure the booking) but in this case the manager in...

We first booked 2 nights online in a hotel on the Alona beach called Alona vida and we thought it was a bit meh, loud, poorly serviced and overpriced. Then we stumbled upon this place approx. 200m from the beach, where you can rent lovely cottages at a very reasonable price. The cottages are great, with aircon, a good shower,...

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are clean and well maintained and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden area which was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day (with the best G&Ts in town!). The restaurant manager was particularly helpful in recommending and arranging activities for us to do...

A nice welcome-drink when we arrived, a very helpful and friendly staff. Great (real) coffee and chocolate rolls for breakfast, dinner is also super, great wine too! Probably the cleanest rooms in Alona beach. The garden is not quite finished jet, but has great potential. Only thing that could be improved are the ceiling-fans, they look great, but don't actually...

“Their Cottages are located in the same area where their restaurant is. Across the street is the annex building where the Aircon & Fan Rooms are located. Rooms on the new hotel building are on the 2nd floor, no elevator so you'll have to carry your own bags up. Cottages are better & feel cozier.”
