We spend one day in Ilok, nice small town on the river Dunav, with lots of history and wine cellars. We took a room in Stari Podrum, the place was good, well heated, what was important in November, the wine degustation very good, there was a well informed waiter. In the Restaurant we chose menu with fish, but the experience...

We spent a few days indulging ourselves with a hearty local cuisine, rustic views of the local villages, the Danube, ancient ruins and the most important gorgeous wine Traminac in the courtyards of the old winery. Very helpful staff will take you to the old cellar where you can be dazzled both with the wine and the various numbers you...

The place is fantastic and is located near the Castle grounds in Ilok, it is impressive from the moment you see the gate. It is an historic wine maker! Very friendly atmosphere and great service by attentive staff. Food is stunning. We had a lovely Sarmale (Cabbage Rolls) I forgot to mention that wine was obviously fantastic

Delicious fish paprikash, extraordinary testy grilled fish and the best white vine in Croatia, especially traminac. Most important, beautifull surrounding, medieval fortres, Odeschalchi castel and garden and a nonforgetible wiev on Danube from the top of the hill.

I was here first time more than 10 years ago. It was a place with not so good accommodation but excellent wines. Now, the wines are still excellent and the rooms are renowated and well equiped (free wifi, flat screen TV, nice bathroom...). Kind staff with good knowledge about wines. Do not miss to visit the wine cellar and to...

The restaurant is situated in an old wine cellar and is a perfect place to taste local food and wines. Both were excellent. Service is quick, people very kind and ready to help and inform guests about the wines. We enjoyed the visit, would certainly recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

Stayed here as part of a cycle trip on the lower Danube. We stayed in a modern hotel wing of the castle with a fully equipped room with a view of the Danube below. It was clean and spacious. We ate in the restaurant and the food and wine was excellent. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine....

I stayed there for three days with some friends and would definitely do it again. Rooms are new, nice and clean and with beautiful view of the river Danube, surrounded by lot of greens and near the city walls. Food in restaurant is fabulous (at very reasonable prices) and of course they have their own excellent wines (red or white...

Ordered the wild white asparagus soup which was fabulous, thick and creamy and full of rich asparagus goodness. We then had truffle pasta, the pasta texture was chewy and perfect. And the smell of truffles!! Wow. Would love to return if not because this place is so inaccessible!
