We were two couples who stayed here one night and had booked the whole carriage for £150 with linen. I loved this but the other three wanted more luxury. This is fun and basic with a kitchen and seating area. Wouldn't recommend sharing with others unless you don't mind. I would equate this to a hostel/bunkhouse. If you don't want...

What a disappointment. One month ago, we were supposed to sleep in the Glenfinnan Sleeping Car. We gave a deposit on paypal but nobody was there to welcome us. We waited 1 hour trying to call the numbers on the door, nothing. Nothing on our email box either. We had to find another place to stay in the middle of...

Don't go here if you expect great luxury. My wife and I slept on single bunk beds in our own private, but tiny, train carriage. But we slept well and we really enjoyed the experience. There is a pleasant shared living room in the carriage and the dining car next door serves tasty food in a fun environment. We arrived...

Fabulous stay in the family room - the sleeping car is well equipped and the kitchen area is especially good if you didn't want to head out to eat...literally has everything you could need. Our four-year-old was blown away, especially when the steam train passed through Glenfinnan Station. He was also really taken with the dining car next door. Great...

Great place but expect history and practicality not luxury. Rooms are small the bunk beds are fine but again small but the history and view are excellent, the only improvement would have been to arrive by train.

A unique experience!! We visited Glenfinnan for a reunion and this was ideally located. An interesting couple of nights, especially with 3 young children. My middle son now wants to live on a train. At £15 per night we might arrange it for him.

This is a great little bunk house to stay whilst in the Highlands. It's a nice novelty place to stay, with all the things you'd need/expect from a bunkhouse plus quite a bit more. For £15 per night, you really can't go wrong here. If you're in any doubt, don't be... just give it a try. If I'm back up...

Following a family wedding in Stirling, we headed north to the Highlands and ended up in Glenfinnan, mostly famous for its viaduct, initially because of its innovative concrete construction but now because Harry Potter and Ron Weasley flew Mr Weasley's Ford Anglia between its arches while chasing down the Hogwarts Express. Filming here lasted a week and the crew stayed...

As a solo traveler going by train this was a find. Your right in the train station and very peaceful countryside. You leave the car, walk up the stairs and your back on the train. I had no problems with the rail car, it was clean and very comfy and quiet. I would do it again.

It is an original place to sleep. You have the feeling you return 60 years back. And it is also the issue: everything needs a bit of tender loving care. The kitchen is well furnished. The trip to go to see the viaduct of Harry Poter red coal train is really nice with amazing landscapes.
