This hostel is run by a very laid back family who are connected with the traditional pub next door. The hostel was clean and quiet, and unusually for this type of accommodation it was quite cozy and comfortable.

We arrived in Kilfenora after several days in the saddle with panniers full of wet camping gear and dirty clothes. We needed a break; and we got a very welcome one here. The landlady was fantastically welcoming and helpful. She allowed us to hang out all our wet gear, stow our bikes away inside, launder our clothes and get ourselves...

Honestly can not recommend this place enough! Friendly owners that made our stay a very pleasurable one the entire time (a week). Plenty of kitchen space that was very modern and had all the cooking appliances one could wish for. The pub, literally next door, was great. Locals were some of the most welcoming folk I've had the privileged of...

We visited the hostel as a group of 60 geology students from the University of Leeds on a field trip, and despite the noise and untidiness this amount of students can bring to a hostel we could not have felt more welcome. The land-lady was constantly asking about our day in the field each evening, whilst the landlord consistently granted...

Nice hostel. A+ for the amazing power shower! Would recommend getting more chairs for the kitchen. There was three large tables but only enough chairs for one table. Several of our group had to stand while eating dinner.

Have to say, myself and 5 others had a great time in kilfenora. The hostel is clean, and fantastic value for money by Irish standards. Had a wonderful night in Vaughans pub(next door). We were provided with a free midnight feast from the kitchen as we returned to the hostel next door after a great singsong and some pints. This...

I stayed here with a few friends last year during the matchmaking festival in Lisdoonvarna - it is a family run hostel and the girl that owned it couldn't have been more accommodating, nothing was a problem for her. We had a great stay. The food in the pub next door was lovely and we also had a few drinks...

A group of us stayed here recently for a ladies weekend (and Ted Tour!) in the area. We absolutely had a ball! Loved that the hostel was right beside Vaughan's pub (another great spot!!) and found absolutely everyone so friendly and accommodating. The hostel itself is brilliant value for money, and has a great kitchen area where you can help...

The village of Kilfenora is the kind of place you don't want people to find, in fear that its beauty will be lost. The Hostel in Kilfenora which is run by Orla is 'brilliant'. She is friendly, helpful and is genuine in wanting to make sure you are looked after. We are a family of four and the family room...
