Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The cabins are situated on a large peaceful property close to all of the Pokolbin and Lovedale vineyards in the Hunter Valley. It is also 1 minute from the Hunter Valley zoo which is very much worth the visit, especially for kids. Cabins/Villas are immaculately clean and very functional. The grounds are spacious and well maintained and the hosts very friendly, if they are needed. There is also a good sized pool. I would recommend for couples, small groups and young families.

Another great stay at Woodlane cottages. The cottages are nice and comfortable with so many little extras that were thoughtful. The property is wonderful, sitting on the edge of a national park. Highly recommended, see you again soon.

We stayed in Blue Wren for 2 nights. It's much better in person. Very charming and peaceful. We really felt like we switched off and got away from it all. The fireplace was the highlight of our stay. Everything is so well thought out. The kitchen is fully stocked with every implement we could've needed... including a whisk! We did miss milk, though, and were a bit surprised to see that the tea and coffee were in single serve sachets. The location is very handy. Right in the heart of the Hunter, and within a 10 minute drive to numerous wineries, restaurants, and the Hunter Valley gardens. We would definitely return.

A delightful stay in the Hunter Valley, on one of the busiest weekends of the year! Our one bedroom cottage (Blue Wren) perfectly suited our needs - separate bedroom, bathroom, toilet room, lounge and kitchen. The cottage was clean (the carpets looked relatively new, or at least very clean!). The booking system seamless. It was so quiet.. we didn't hear another soul despite the other cottages being full.

Thank you Kieran and Kirst, your hospitality and service made my stay one to remember. I have found a home away from home, the peaceful tranquility, relaxing surroundings, beautiful wine topped off with your lovely service and amazing Kookaburra cottage got me through the 2 weeks away from my family. Oh not to mention waking up to the beautiful sounds of lions roaring from the neighbouring zoo reminded me of my days in Africa..... sooo amazing. Thank you and I'll see you again soon. Regards Josh

Woodlane cottages is an absolute gem of a place to stay , you couldn't pick a better place to stay. Only a 10-15 drive to the heart of shops in Cessnock , 3 minutes to one of the best wineries in the Hunter , Ernest Hill and 10-15 minutes to Day on the green concerts. Cabins are very clean , well presented, quiet and back onto Werekata national park. Host are very accommodating and quick to respond. This was our 2nd stay , we will be back.
