We recently held our annual offsite at Bluebush Estate with our team of 11, and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue. Lauren, Gareth, and the entire staff were incredible, attending to every detail with exceptional care. They were extremely friendly and provided us with the perfect space for team building and all our activities. We will definitely be in touch in the future, and we highly recommend Bluebush Estate to anyone looking for a fantastic retreat.

This is a return visit for many of us given how beautiful the estate is. It is also the first stay we've had with new owners, Gareth and Lauren, who couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. We had a late booking for another couple to join us an whom we couldn't accommodate in the Country House and Gareth went out of his way to find them a room in one of the other properties.
The rooms all have ensuites and are all well appointed. Combined with the amazingly huge kitchen and beautiful dining room and lounge room, you could not want for more. We also took advantage of the pool room and spent a good few hours playing after dinner.
We wish Gareth, Lauren and their 5 kids all the best and we're looking forward to many return visits.

We decided to have a family weekend, we chose the lodge and the cottage for 14, we had plenty of room, the cottage was only used for sleeping.
It has a pool and tennis court. In the cottage we had a pool table as well, tv, air conditioning in some rooms.
Great destination for a large family.
Would certainly recommend to anyone, 4 homes on site, make a call and u will b well looked after.

While we had a most enjoyable stay, and hosts are friendly and helpful, the 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage accommodation is very tired and in need of a refit and restyle. Beds are comfortable and rooms spacious with ok hanging facilities. Reasonably clean but not spotless. Kitchen facilities adequate. Surrounding gardens and views from back balcony are what you expect in the Hunter Valley region. Easy access from Hunter Expressway, 2 hours from Sydney and 15 minutes drive to Cessnock and many wineries, restaurants and attractions. At price point, more luxury and modern facilities expected.

We just spent a relaxing weekend at BluebushEstate .. we stayed in the main house with each of the 5 couples having their own bedroom / en-suite which was perfect.. plenty of living areas to choose from.. open fire was perfect for cool nights..kitchen facilities were outstanding, Bbq was also a welcome addition..
Beds were very comfortable, booking process was efficient.. Linda even helped organising catering for us which was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Amazing location to hold a group get together or any other function. The owners are lovely people that will go out of their way to make your stay most pleasurable. my daughter celebrated her $40th birthday their, with 30 odd friends & family. It was absolutely fantastic. It is also reasonably priced. I would recommend this Estate to everyone.

We were looking for a cosy romantic midweek getaway on a cold and miserable day. We checked 'wotif' and selected the region, the date and the bed and breakfast filter. We chose Bluebush Estate because it advertised a romantic midweek getaway - with a fireplace. And it had a 4.9/5 rating! We were sure we were on a winner.
The reality was slightly different. The accommodation was very serviceable, but huge! The dining table sat 12, the lounge sat 10 and the main feature of living area was a large snooker table. Fantastic for a family holiday but romantic? Not so much.
I thought Bed and breakfast included at least a continental breakfast but apparently not - because we selected the mid week getaway (and the additional premium of $40 over other available accommodation) we got a bottle of wine and 4 chocolates on the pillow). It pays to read the fine print.
The views from the lodge are great and the wallabies on the lawn very photogenic. The gardens were very relaxing and colourful. The cleanliness was passable. Bobby pins in the rug and the hair around the base of the toilet weren't appreciated. The decor is homely, practical, eclectic and relaxed. The fireplace was beautiful and much appreciated after an afternoon of sightseeing. The reception was warm helpful and friendly. A romantic getaway, maybe not, but we will certainly consider it for a family get together.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review - we always appreciate hearing from our guests. We offer our guests a variety of accommodation from Bed & Breakfast to self contained for groups or as you chose, your own private accommodation in a house. I agree the Lodge is a large house for a couple however does have the benefit to enjoy a double gas log fireplace on those chilly evenings in privacy. Our B&B which you were referring to does offer a lesser rate however not the privacy as you experienced in the Lodge. Our B&B has 5 king bedrooms with shared living and dining areas. We certainly hope you will consider returning to Bluebush and it would be a pleasure to show you our accommodation alternatives. Cheers Linda, Steve & staff @ Bluebush

We sent three nights at this lovely Estate during the unbelievable storm that hit the Hunter in late April. It could have been a disastrous break, but the professionalism and warmth of Linda and Steve, turned it in to quite an adventure. There would not be many hosts who could cope with no power, no phones,no running water, flooded roads, and the enforced closure of the Valley's wineries and restaurants, and still leave their guests with positive memories! Linda and Steve certainly did and I cannot wait to return to enjoy this lovely Estate in all its glory!!
If you are planning a wedding in the vines or a family reunion, this would be a perfect location, with several self contained cottages as well as the guesthouse. There is volleyball and a pool for the energetic and many boutique wineries and restaurants close by. Watching the kangaroos graze peacefully amongst the roses and vines mere metres from the covered verandah/barbecue area is very relaxing and if you have room 3 at the guesthouse and happen to wake during the night, you could believe you were sleeping under the stars (a special paint effect invisible during the day!).Linda and Steve will arrange vineyard tours or ballooning for you - nothing ever seems to be too much trouble!
The decor is country style and sitting around the beautiful gas log fire in the sitting room with candles flickering, enjoying some lovely Hunter wines with our fellow guests and hosts was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

we had previously stayed at the Estate but in the House with two other parties, but this time we decided to stay in the B&B as our stay was only one night. We still enjoyed all that was on offer along with the friendliness of all at the property, but there were two little "problems". One - the rooms are keyless which means that you have to punch a keypad. This is fine, but we were in room 4 where the hallway is rather dark, then along with locking glasses in the room, found that this presented a weeee hassel. Forced to go & find someone to assist with entry. Unfortunately this occurred several times.
Then that evening, we were all tucked up for the night, when our neighbors arrived home. I think that they both had hearing problems, for the next hour or so they conversed about washing her hair, rinsing the smalls out & packing now rather than in the morning as they were leaving early along with sending a couple of messages to family members...all which they proceeded to do.
Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Tea Gardens thank you for taking the time to post your review. It was a pleasure to meet you and of course your friends too. It seems from what you were explaining your neighbours in Room 3 would have disturbed anyone in an adjoining room. What a shame you didn't mention it to me as it would have been an opportune time to point out to Room 3 they need to be mindful of other guests. I wasn't aware you were having any difficulty with the keyless entry system, we find our guests adapt well to not having to worry about carrying a key with them however I will be mindful about leaving the hall light on as well as the lamp on the stand, thank you for bringing this to my attention. We hope you will return to Lovedale in the not too distant future. Cheers Linda & Steve
