Not keen on camping but not wanting to blow your budget on a luxury resort? The Liwa hotel is a great alternative allowing you to explore the amazing desert landscapes of Liwa and the western region. It's perched on top of a hill outside Mezairaa and has lovely views across the desert but you're close to a reasonably sized township...

Didn't get to stay here very long as it was just an overnighter, so the review is restricted to the rooms and the breakfast. The room was large, with a really large balcony that had a great view of the desert. You could have a party in that balcony - it features majlis-style seating on one side. The room was...

Dear Guest, Greetings from Liwa Hotel! Thank you for reviewing us on TripAdvisor. We are elated to know that our location and well-maintained rooms were able to impress you. We have, however, noted your concerns regarding the water tap and shall be rectifying it soon. Situated atop a small hill, we hope to create a space of rejuvenating solitude for...

The facilities were probably great over 40 years ago but totally outdated. The room is generally clean. The hotel staffs are helpful. There is a beautiful desert near the hotel. The hotel restaurant is expensive but the foods are below average. There are some reasonable restaurants in the nearby town. Considering the room rate of this hotel, I won't stay...

Hotel quality was better than expected for such an old establishment. Room was clean and comfortable and service was excellent. Unfortunately, the building was not designed to minimize the travel of sound and if you are unlucky to have a nocturnal neighbor you may find your sleep interrupted. The absolute worst thing about Liwa Hotel is its shameless gouging of...

I am not sure why they rate themselves as 3 star. It certainly looks, feel and experience like a 5 star hotel. The hotel is very new with plush carpets throughout. In fact the carpet patterns resemble the sand dunes. All the rooms have a huge balcony with a nice long lounge seat. It is only unfortunate that most of...
