Hotel room (#27) was great - clean, microwave, kettle, bar fridge and amenity items. (Our showers were either very quick or we were able to relax & enjoy, as the bore water temperature could be quite hot.) Staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinners were fantastic, especially the Bailey's cheese cake for dessert. The hotel and its motel-style accommodation is a very short walk from the airport. Loads of history. Guest laundry was next door to our room, and in there I discovered a container of books to swap.

We were pleasantly surprised. The room was very neat and clean. Water in the fridge and comfortable beds. Dinner was really good as well and they were busy. All rooms booked up. It has the feel of a well run place, everything spot on.

Our second visit and stay at the Birdsville Hotel, it’s a great iconic pub with accommodation that should be on your bucket list. The staff here are always friendly, helpful and do all they can to assist in your stay. A few noticeable improvements in the rooms this time, very comfy new beds, pillows, fluffy thick towels. The rooms are spacious, clean, split system a/c all your amenities coffee, tea, milk etc with daily servicing. The food in the restaurant/bar is as good as ever, it’s not 5 star but good well put together pub food, with a menu to suit most palates. Remember you are in the outback and everything becomes much harder to supply/ staffing/service the hotel does an amazing job given the difficulties they must face. It’s great to see the new owners have not made any major changes are it is said will continue to operate under the same guise, only one minor suggestion prints on the wall of local scenery would be a great addition to the rooms.

Went for our friends belated birthday which was cancelled last year due to COVID - we had the best time - the hospitality of the staff at the hotel was amazing and the food was outstanding - they all were so obliging and nothing was problem - Birdsville is a great little town with lots to offer - cant wait to go back - what a treasure in the desert!

We reached our road trip destination to meet friends at the Birdsville Hotel. I must say what a friendly oasis it is. The wine list extensive, great food, rooms were very well appointed. Not to mention the fabulous friendly staff. We fell in love with this beautiful town and it’s pub and will definitely return.
