The self catering chalet we stayed in overlooks the river and sleeps 8, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms one on suite, kitchen, dining, lounge and covered patio with braai. Cleaning service every day except Sunday, but you can pay extra if you require that as well. The rooms are all air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. There are a few...

Breathtaking river views from hb 01, located so close to the river, you can hear the rapids. Wildlife at your doorstep. Well appointed unit, spacious, clean and comfortable. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with washing machine and dryer. This resort just never fails to entertain both children and adults. Friendly and courteous staff. We will always return!

Ngwenya Lodge is a luxury lodge on the Crocodile River bordering the Kruger park. We have sat on the veranda many days and often see more wildlife than on game drives in the park. Bird life is abundant and photographers dream. The air conditioned bungalows are neat and well maintained. The on site restaurant, especially the Thursday buffet, is very...

I spent one night only at this amazing place during a business trip in the area, I and my wife were lodged in one of the lodges which was big enough for a family of 4, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a big kitchen with a terrace and an unforgettable view over the river, in just less than an hour...

Ngwenya Lodge is just 15 Km from the Crocodile Bridge entrance to the Kruger National Park. The units all have air-conditioning and the bedrooms have additional ceiling fans. The lodge has several bat hotels, which initially send shivers down the spine, until you read that each bat can eat 600 mosquitoes a night. We saw very few mosquitoes, so they...

If you are not staying in Kruger Park but are planning to visit the Southern part of Kruger I highly recommend Ngwenya Lodge. The chalets are spotless, comfortable and well equipped. You have a choice of riverview or pond view chalets. The chalets overlooking the Crocodile River offer frequent animal sightings but are often booked out and not available. (I...

This is a wonderful place to stay. It's close to crocodile bridge gate if you wish to go into Kruger national park. If not, just make sure you have a unit with a river view so you can sit on your veranda and watch the game come down to drink at the river Our unit was spotlessly clean on arrival...

Fabulous as always ! Unit overlooking Crocodile river ( never seen it so low ) . Facilities are exceptional , except for one area . The Bar has no atmosphere whatsoever , and the barman never looks happy or pleased to see guests . His political views were not asked for and unwelcome, comments about the ' Old Regime' were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ngwenya Lodge is situated on the southern tip of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This means that visitors don’t even have to leave the resort to see a huge variety of game species – including the famous Big Five. The river view chalets overlook a scenic floodplain, which allows for magnificent views of the area where the big cats often hunt. Our Dam and Bush view chalets are set back on the property and also have beautiful views, as they overlook tranquil dams or bush areas. Game viewing hides make game viewing on the riverfront accessible to all – so no one misses out on spotting any of their favorite wild animals. Holiday in the luxury you’re used to… The units have fully equipped kitchens with a stove, fridge, freezer and a microwave. Each unit has a television and an undercover veranda with patio table, chairs and a braai, for unforgettable get-togethers with family and friends. Ngwenya’s on-site facilities include a pub, a beauty salon with a wide range of treatments, a curio shop, a small convenience shop, 6 outdoor swimming pools, 18 hole Mini Golf course, 2 tennis courts, trampolines, jungle gyms, a games room with pool tables, table tennis, Playstations with Xbox Kinnect, a kiddies room with various board games, puzzles, and kids movies. We can’t wait for you to visit us. ... more   less
