Andrew's place is great! It is in the heart of Crown Point. Restaurants, bars and the beach are steps away. Pigeon Point Heritage Park is a 12-15 minute walk. Andrew is very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay at Candles in the Wind when in Tobago again.

Perfectly located between Store Bay and Piegeon Point, Candles in the Wind was an excellent find for us. Close enough to restaurants, bars and convenience stores without the noise. We had a double room situated on the 2nd floor, very clean with well equipped kitchen and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended for all ages.

Review is a little late but better late than never. My partner and I decided on a last minute trip for a long weekend in Trinidad from Toronto. Arrived in Trinidad then decided we wanted to go to Tobago. We called Andrew and informed him we were flying standby to Tobago that morning (6,6:30 am) and if he had any...

This Hostel is ideal for back packers or those that just want a place to sleep with nothing but the very basics available. It's run by Andrew who's approachable friendly and knowledgeable. I was in the attic dormitory where there are rows of beds in the sleeping area, two shower rooms and a tv area which was not really used...

My boyfriend and I contacted Candles in the Wind the morning of our arrival. Andrew picked up the phone promptly and assured us that we could what's app him as I didn't have any more minutes on my Trini Sim card, he also assured us that he would pick us from the airport that night and that he had space...

It was easy to get in touch with Andrew while we were in Trinidad. He is an older gentleman but is very efficient with new technology like whatsapp. He offered to pick us up from the airport even though the walk is less than 10min. We found the space to be large and clean. Other guests were staying upstairs with...

Firstly I should say that I actually don't think 3 out of 5 is quite enough for this place, but that 4 out of 5 is slightly too much - I think a 7 out of 10 would be more fair. I stayed here with my partner last week after seeing the copious amounts of good reviews on Trip Advisor....

We have stayed here three times so far and find the place, and its owner, Andrew, provides an ideal setting for quiet enjoyment of this lovely island and its people. Take one of Andrew's guided tours if you get the chance: you'll get to everywhere that it is worthwhile to see. The terms we take are "self catering", i.e. kitchen...
