Wind down, cool out, and laid back. You want to get away from all that stuff that pulls you in twenty different directions, Let me prescribe the Kariwak in Tobago. If you would like to explore a genuine original Caribbean Island, this is the place. You can enjoy open air dining that is original cuisine, enjoy a rum punch that...

Kariwak is owned and run since it was built by Cynthia Covis. She is always around making sure everyone has everything they want. This is the third time we have stayed there and though it has been updated it still has a very special atmosphere. The food is always fresh, healthy and changing. They have extensive herb gardens which they...

Had a very pleasant stay here. Was a little bit apprehensive about how close it was to the airport. No need to be as very few flights and the noise level isn't a problem. in fact if you are traveling light don't bother with a taxi walk it ! The food was very good with lots of fresh produce used....

The staff is very attentive, the rooms comfortable, the dining area is not large but the food is really Tobago cuesine. Tour arrangements can be made at the reception desk, although there are many attractions within walking distance of the hotel. One such is the famous Store Bay facilities.

Room We had a Garden room, very spacious room with separate toilet and bathroom and hot water believe it. My wife found this very useful as we weren't ready to bathe in cold water yet. There is air conditioning in the room and yes our room was fully wifi. Surroundings Wow awesome, garden of Eden, birds chirping away all day,...

We ended a two week trip to Tobago with 3 nights at the Kariwak. The hotel itself is awesome and there was a great and positive energy in the place. We stayed in the split villa rooms, and they were comfortable, clean, and fully functional. Every part of the hotel, the grounds, restaurant, pool area, and so on, were tastefully...

Managed at last to get a table for dinner here having seen such good things about their food. Was very disappointed. Food was nicely presented but lacked flavour. Breadfruit soup needs to be made with a good well-seasoned stock - tonight it was anaemic. The mixed salad was good, with a tasty herby dressing. On reflection I wished I had...

I recently stayed at this wonderful place. Located on the island of Tobago known for its variety of birds, great opportunities for water sports, hiking, walking, beaches. Tobago is the sister-island of Trinidad but much smaller, less dense in terms of population (than its more urban island partner), spread across a beautiful expanse or landscape. There are coves, small fishing...

Stayed here twice. It is set in a lovely natural setting and has none of the traits of near by International hotel chain resorts.............. Wonderful breakfasts with nature all around you. Did not go for the yoga stuff, we just went as a normal tourists and fell in love with the place. Highly recommended to anyone who reads this :-)

Kariwak was lovely. Breakfast was included in our package and it was excellent. Coconut bread is a must. The facilities were very well maintained, the pool, buildings everything immaculate. The yoga classes were awesome. I am a complete beginner and the instructors were really good, patient and encouraging. Very relaxing.
