Sadly visited the restaurant last night to be met with shabby decor, absolutely no ambience and slow service! Not to mention the very mediocre food!! They even burnt my pudding if a Belgium waffle! Don't think we will be back in a hurry!!!

Stayed at the nearby campsite in Chirk and called in for a beer while walking with our dog. Staff were pleasant and helpful, we sat in the pool / games room watching football on the TV. The pub was empty bar a couple with children and felt like it needed a refurb or a bit of tlc. The beer was...

I can't vouch for the hotel side of things as I only went in at night for a few ales. Stayed at the nearby caravan club site for a few days so the Hand became my local for a short time. The main hotel bar area is lovely with big leather chairs and settees and a large fire. Bet it's...

It advertises a 'Beer Garden', when we asked for this, the waitress took a key and opened a door for us, very disappointing! It's spring, the sun is out and the garden isn't ready! Very strong smell from the drain, long grass, no plants, very...

The Hotel is tired, however the staff try to make it feel like a 5 star. Lovely staff, food can be good and sometimes poor. Room 5 is too hot recommended to ask for another room as this room is so stuffy.

Very basic standard hotel room that was spotlessly clean. Wifi was slow but usable, shower temperature and pressure was good but TV signal was intermittent with it breaking up regularly. Breakfast had a good selection of cereals and cooked items but again was very basic. Overall it was what we expected for the price, staff were friendly and helpful. An...
