You can really get that exotic African feeling at this place. Lush walkways through the grounds and rustic cabins are great. The little spider monkeys come out in the morning and are a lot of fun to feed. The facilities, however, leave something to be desired. Bare minimum is the best description. Most fixtures and sockets work, but not all....

By local standard this is a decent place to lay your head for a night. Bed comfortable, mosquito net (very necessary) mostly in good nic, hot water questionable (couple of good electrical jolts from the system which woke me right up). They could stand to add a fan in the room as it is some hot in there and if...

Booked well well in time for Christmas only to get here and be told that it is been booked by one individual, then relegated to a flimsy room!!! It is 1900H, where do you go to?!! Totally lost in foreign territory!!

Nothing bad really, except for all the ants on the toilet. Good food even though we had to wait for it. We were a compani of around 35 and the handeled it well. Namanga is a great town with polite locals

The place is rustic and old but well maintained with a great customer service. The meals are fairly nice and the small house (rooms) are greatly done but miss out on the modern feel. Try it while enroute in or out of Kenya or Tanzania #MachoniMwangu @Kasun3i

It's a simple hotel, no frills and off a beaten track from the main road. The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect a lot. It's a nice quiet hotel that is mainly used by travelling workers, so not luxurious. The bathroom did need new tiles,...

My first impression about this hotel was very good. The environment surrounding it is wonderful, with many trees, flowers and monkeys. The garden is well maintained. The staff also was very welcoming: we were just arrived and they served us a delicious breakfast in the hall in a very short time which I appreciated a lot after the travel from...

I recently stayed here for 4 nights during my recent trip to Kenya. I stayed here with our missions group. We did not spend much time at the lodge during the day as we were out and about during the day. I did not expect this place to be overly nice and it met those expectations. The rooms are decent...

I want to give the Namanga River Hotel a good review, but must define what "good" is/is not. We are not talking international-standard good -- but rather backwater-Africa-border-town good. It is all a matter of context. On the Kenya tourist (safari) track, this would be a one-star-minus place. But for a border backwater lodge, it is a welcome spot. The...
