What a farce, we booked through Booking.com for 2 nights Fri - Sun (9th-11th Oct) as near to Diss as possible to play at a festival, arrived at 7.30pm on Friday evening, a 'pretty impressive' looking place and made our way to check-in after a fair journey... Eventually greeted by a rather stressed out young man, who'd darted past with...

Appalling! Left an Xbox in the room by accident on leaving and when we informed the staff (3hrs later) their service was shocking. They stated they had looked and it was no longer in the room, to then hang up on us! Police have been informed! Avoid this place!

I you like old Historic buildings and do not expect everything to be immaculate the this is for you. The room itself was clean and comfortable . The food was ok a not a great choice ,however the bar area was like going back in time with huge fire places . The staff were very good although they were covering...

The room was fine, we were in the rooms in the courtyard at the back, although anyone walking past could see into the room as it was on the ground floor. The shower was a...

Very nice place, loads of rooms and a very nice bar/restaurant. The rooms are more than adequate and although the age of the building is apparent, it adds to the charm. Very well positioned for work and activities in the local area. All good!

Absolutely dreadful, feel sorry for the few staff who work there. Poor cleanliness and abysmal food. Mattress cheap and uncomfortable, room not very clean and noisy. Very disappointed as booked the hotel for a special weekend.

I would recommend that you find different accommodation we stayed 3 nights and we're shocked by the state of the building, cleanless and caotic service. Faulty towers reincarnated ! Don't bother the company should be ashamed in offering accommodation of this standard

This could be a brilliant place and attraction especially given it's age. It is obviously in need of a lot of TLC. We stayed in the stable block for one night. The walls are very thin and the sound of the adjoining room's television at 1.30am in the morning was too much to bear, with a knock on the door...
