A few simple wall hooks would be amazing, however not to be, bathroom or room. Anyway, quite insignificant in the big scheme of things. Where we were really disappointed was the obvious stench of raw sewerage in the ski locker room, it was repulsive. What really p*ssed us off were the staff were clearly instructed to pass this off to their ‘valued clients’ as nothing more than merely wet carpets. We felt physically ill each time we had to suit up to ski for the day & then reluctant to return knowing what we were in for. The cancelations policies upon when booking at The Maples are watertight, our rights to ask for a different room were almost scoffed at when requested.
I hope you are reading this Stephanie, pull your finger out & start listening to your clients. We would definitely NOT stay here again for how we were lied to & dismissed so quickly.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
But perhaps the best thing was our apartment, we had our three adult children with us and used two bedrooms and a tatami in a third sectioned off area. We also had three bathrooms. The kitchen was well facilitated, and the washer dryer was also very useful.
The Maples is particularly good for anyone who is in Niseko for a short period and wants to make the most of their time. We were there for four nights and loved every minute of our time at The Maples and in Niseko.
The hotel it self is nice and all that you need. Clean with a small kitchen which was ideal for making breakfast. Staff was also very kind and helpful with questions. We did not dine at the pizza restaurant at the hotel but it looked busy each night. Agreement with Rhythm is a nice touch - we were able to leave our rental skis at the lobby as we checked up for Rhythm to pick up at a later time.
The location in Hirfau is also ideal. Across the street from a grocery store and walking distance to all the top bars and restaurants in the area.
Would recommend to anyone visiting especially those who value the ski in/ ski out without having to take the bus all over town.

When we booked they arranged the lift passes, put us on contact with the ski rental, made sure restaurants stayed open for us, drove us around in -10C weather.
The staff are the happiest group of you people I’ve ever met. Special thanks to Tash, Alfred, Rio
Our room 313 had a semi view of the slope and an amazing view of the mountain. The town itself is clean and filled with good restaurants. It’s a ski town so everything is priced accordingly.
The resort is ski in with lockers in the basement where you can change and store the skies at night - just fantastic.
Then before you leave you can drop your rental at the concierge and it gets returned for you. Just fantastic!!!!
I will go back there.
Oh! We got 20cm of powder every day…

Ski lockers are all “in-house” so boots are nice dry & warm for the next day. Good food & beers at Three Trees Cafe within hotel.
Staff always friendly & helpful.
The location is amazing. It is truly a ski in/out option. Even the hotels based at the bottom of the slope still need to walk up with gear to the chairlift but from The Maples, you just need to ski down from your apartment basement level where the lockers are located which store all your gear.
Apartment servicing is great. We stayed 5 nights and had full servicing on 2 days. And staff very accommodating to help with clearing bins in between and giving additional amenity supplies in between.
On both stays, we have experienced amazing service from the concierge. On this stay especially which was over NYE period, even though we were booking with late notice, all of our requests were managed and bookings confirmed before we arrived.
It’s a spacious apartment (2 bedroom on 5th floor, with views up the mountain and onto ski slope). Furnishings and appliances are top quality.
We’re already planning return trip this season and will for su4e stay here again.
