Hotel very well located, couple hundred meters from Hirafu Welcome Centre and ski lifts. A good ski shop and rental a hundred meters away, supermarket and restaurants in a walkable distance. Clean rooms, pleasant staff, good breakfasts, nice Japanese bath onsen. Free wifi in rooms. Down sides: 1) They clean rooms only after 4th day 2) There is no restaurant in the hotel 3) Their cancellation policy should be better. But all in all, I would happily come again.

Booked niseko park hotel because of the good reviews I read on this website. I have to say all the good things people wrote about this place is true. Great staff, starting from mr. Fukui picking me up at the hirafu welcome center I felt I was welcomed to niseko park. The breakfast was better than I expected, a nice selection of western and Japanese food, with small variations each morning. I booked a western style room in the new wing. It is spacious for a japanese hotel room, new furnishings, free wifi included. Mr. Fukui gave me a room with excellent Yotei mountain view, which I didn't realize until two days after when the sky is clear. The mt Yotei view is just postcard perfect. So ask for it if available.
If you do stay here, or in the handful of places on the same street, I would like to share something on the skiing aspect:
I read some articles labeling this hotel "ski in, ski out", well, getting to the slope is easy. There is a narrow passage between the hotel's two buildings that leads to the parking lot. A 25deg drop of maybe 30 meters separate the parking lot and the Family run leading to the Ace family pair lift. You can ski down the slope adjacent to the hotel parking lot if you have decent control of skis. The hotel next door, the Hirafutei, put a sign near the base of the slope asking people to walk not to ski for the sake of children going out of their hotel. The two hotels share one exit to the family run, so please be careful on the way down and respect the neighbors. For beginners better walk all the way. At the end of the day it is some work climbing up back to the hotel with skis in hand. The alterntive would be to walk down-hill 130m or so from the hirafu base (not to be confused with the hirafu mountain center) or taking the shuttle. If you do not bring your own equipment, rentals at NBS is a good choice, for they offer ski storage near the Family Ace lift. But you still have to take the boots back to the hotel. Over all, the niseko park hotel is at a great location. If "true ski in, ski out" is a must for you, look at the Nothern Resort Annupuri, Hilton Niseko, or Hotel Niseko Alpen. Be ready to pay a premium for that.
The hotel offers discount lift vouchers which you exchange for lift tickets in the form of IC cards at box office next to the ace family lift. There is choices of niseko united (all mountain) lift ticket or grand hirafu lift ticket. The price difference is about 1000yen per day. If the first full day of your stay is blizzard condition or very windy, chances are the gondola and the higher lifts would be shut down. If so, save the 1000yen and opt for the cheaper grand hirafu tickets which offer you hirafu and hanazono area to ski as well. It is a long and slow shuttle bus ride from hirafu welcome center to niseko village and annupuri. On paper the ride time is 30 and 40 min respectively, but felt like more than an hour after a hard day of skiing.
On a good day the niseko unite lift price is worth every yen of it. From the park hotel, the easiest way to get around to NV and annupuri slopes is taking the ace family lift + ace quad lift 2 + ace pair lift 3, then turn left getting of the chair, glide and a little push toward the niseko gondola house then you are in NV territory. Take the wonderland chair to the top and savor the panoramic view. Ski down and make a long right turn then you are at annupuri's champion run. For people who may be intimidated by the look of the champion run or wonderland run, they can ski down (with 20deg sharp narrow turns, though marked green on the map) to the Hilton front door and ride the shuttle bus to annupuri nook which takes about 15 min. The NV and annupuri areas are generally less crowded. In the entire niseko mountain, the fastest and easiest way from bottom to top is the annupuri gondola plus the jumbo pair lift 4. I prefer the annupuri gondola over the Niseko gondola. The Niseko gondola is divided into two chambers designed for better viewing and not having to stare a stranger in the face maybe. The annupuri gondola offers more room to stretch legs and arms.
The fast way going back from annupuri to hirafu base is getting to the top of champion run, ski down turn left to the wonderland run, keep going left well above the niseko gondola house, ski above and pass the ace pair lift 3, and you are at the center run of grand hirafu. Beware of the closing time (usually four something) of each section, or you will have to take the dreaded slow bus ride home!

My second time in Niseko and I couldn't get the pension I originally wanted and stayed at last year because it was fully booked. So this was next and I gave an arm and a leg at $245 per night. The help was wonderful. The lady at the front desk literally took me straight to my room and explained everything. The ladies on staff there are super sweet and kind, but English isn't their strong point so I recommend being patient with the staff and try using body language. The breakfast, in my opinion, wasn't anything too special, but it was good quality and delicious. The rooms were cozy with a Japanese house feel. Like most places in Japan, expect the bathrooms to be small like here. The onsen was really nice. It's a bit small but nice. They do have one onsen outside and I really enjoyed that one. If you're there for skiing or snowboarding then you are literally right by the main lift for Hirafu and the Welcome Center where all the buses come and go. The thing I didn't like was the whole thing with the towels. I wasn't given any new towels. So yeah, the towels and the cost per night.

Having paid a hefty amount of over 40000 yen per night, the service provided was quite disappointing and rather substandard. We stayed for 3 nights in total, with the sole international to snowboard.
The hotel is pretty basic, and a traditional Japanese home vibe. Traditional and rigid. My husband asked the older man at the counter politely at the counter, if check out can be at 11am instead of 10am, it was robotically met with a no, but you can keep your luggage in the premise for awhile.
They provided what was the bare minimum in terms of service. No heart and soul of the Japanese pride and hospitality. No informing us and introduction on the facilities provided in the facilities Such as Onsen etc.
For the hefty amount paid for this hotel, it isn’t very value for money. Extremely pricey as the hotel takes the opportunity to charge sky high to tourist during the peak season. This is fair enough with the whole demand and supply game. However, it doesn’t bother to at least provide a value that is worth the premium prices charged. No shuttle bus provided to grand Hifaru or to the train station as well.
Breakfast is from 730am to 9am. They are very strict that you have to leave the premise of the restaurant by 930am. Waitress literally told us that we had 8 minutes left. And she was also really rude even for other culture standards, which I was so surprise as Japanese people are usually polite and well mannered.
Not only did she tell us that we had 8 minutes left to finish our meals and leave the restaurant. She told other guest that they are closing in a passive aggressive way verbally, was also banging the plates and utensils loudly while clearing. While banging the plates, she also stacked the plates many times in front of guest and on the table, all while telling them that they are closing.
Generally unhelpful and unwilling to work or do a little more for staffs. Very lazy in attitude, wanting to give the bare minimum. Niseko has too many tourist and it feels like they are taking it for granted, and don’t bother to try to deliver.

Been to Niseko several times but this was my first time staying at this hotel. I was not expecting much, seeing that it looked rather old in the website. But turns out this is a great hotel and I do recommend it as a place to stay in Hirafu. Location is great, within walking distance to the Hirafu ski lifts, the Niseko shuttle bus stop, and to all the Hirafu restaurants and shops. The onsen is abit small, with indoor and outdoor pools. Good breakfast buffet. There is a cozy den area with a fireplace & piano for anyone who wants to play it. Staff are great, especially the really friendly GM Stephen. Best of all is the amazing view from my room of the majestic Mt. Yotei. I stayed in the Japanese style room with private bathroom. Sleeping on the futon was actually very comfortable.

I stayed at the Niseko Park Hotel for 4 nights in February 2015. Initially I was planning on staying in a 4-person Tatami/Japanese style room with my wife and another couple. Unfortunately the other couple had to cancel about two weeks prior to checkin due to a family medical emergency. Although, we tried to make a change, in our room as soon as we learned the news, the hotel was not able to accommodate any changes. We also had difficulty attempting to explain the situation, as the there seemed to be no one who spoke English when we would call (very surprising in a town known to be overrun with Aussies and other English-speaking toursits). After arrival, we attempted multiple times to explain the situation with staff at the front desk. Although we figured we would not be able to get a full refund, we hoped they would at least take the cost of the breakfast for the two guests where were not actually there. The first time we inquired, the front desk worker did not speak English. The second time, the attendant said he'd have to check with the management and would get back to us. . . but he never did. The third time we tried was at checkout and the answer was simply "this is the fee you agreed to pay," which is true, but it was also agreed upon for 4 people staying and having breakfast in the hotel. Staying at other small hotels and Ryokan in Japan, I have found management to bend over backwards to make accommodations. Thus, I was a bit disappointed that the same could not be said concerning my experience at Niseko Park.
With the above complaint in mind, the hotel was in a great location. It is less than 5 minutes from the Grand Hirafu Welcome Center (i.e. main bus stop) and a similar uphill walk from the base of the ACE Quad #2 lift (the main lift going high up the mountain from that stretch of the resort). Everything in the main part of Hirafu is within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The hotel has a large ski/snowboard storage area that includes a very hot boot drying room. In the mornings, I would grab my gear, walk to the back of the hotel and ski down hill to the Ace Family Pair lift, which will take you up to the Ace Quad #2 to explore the rest of the mountain. When skiing/boarding back to the hotel. You can either walk down along main street for about 3-5 minutes, or you can ski/board to the back of the hotel and hike up a fairly steep snow hill back to the hotel. Either walk takes about the same amount of time, but the latter takes a bit more effort. If you are renting skis or snowboards, I'd recommend storing them closer to the lifts.
As for our room, it was in the new building and was a typical Tatami style room. We were responsible for laying out the tatami mats every night. The room was reasonably clean, had a toilet and tub/shower en suite bathroom. Our view looked out along the Main street toward Mt. Yotei (when the weather would clear enough to see it).
The breakfasts were pretty standard buffet style with a mix of Japanese and western food. The breakfast area was very busy around 07:30, with everyone probably trying to eat before getting onto the slopes at 08:30 opening.
The onsen was very nice. You have to bring your towel and onsen towel from the room, but has more features than many other Japanese onsens. There are lock boxes available to store any belongings. In the main bathing area in addition to the seated shower area, there is one large onsen bath, a small sauna, one medium-sized covered stone rotenburo, and small indoor cold bath (barely fits one person). Given the number of hotel guests, the onsen seemed pretty busy between around 16:00 and 18:00, but never too full, but I went once in the morning and once later in the evening and it was nearly deserted.
All things considered, if you can get a reasonable price, Niseko Park is a good place to stay. I thought the service was very mediocre by Japanese standards, but not terrible. I just did not feel like a valued customer, as is typically the case in Japan with even the most budget accommodations. The location is good, and the onsen is very nice. If I went with a group again, I might consider other options such as a condo or pension, for the above reason, but would miss the onsen.

We had a very enjoyable one-week ski vacation at Niseko Park Hotel at the beginning of February. I shared a room with my teenage daughter, with a group of friends occupying adjacent rooms.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Hirafu, the main village in Niseko area. It is surrounded by ski rental outlets, some shops, eateries and entertainment. The village is pleasant in the day, and becomes very charming after dark. While not quite ski-in / ski-out, the nearest run is only about a 100-meter walk.
The hotel offers Japanese and Western-style rooms. Ours was Western-style with twin beds: large for Japan, medium size by international standards; not new, but warm and clean. Our friends staying in Japanese-style tatami and futon found it comfortable. The relative lack of storage in the room was compensated by heated common lockers for all our ski equipment.
Common facilities include an onsen with indoors and outdoors hot bath, which most guests will find relaxing after a day of skiing; and a very cosy, large, comfortable lounge, complete with fireplace, to unwind after dinner.
4-star comfort, during the peak season, came at the 5-star price of JPY12,600 per person i.e. about US$300 for a twin room. This includes a hearty buffet breakfast, with Japanese and Western food.
Niseko Park is obviously a family-run hotel; the manager Mr Fukui is very kind, eager to help, and gives the place a personal touch. For instance, on a phone call on arrival he drove to the bus station to pick us up with our luggage; upon check-out his colleague drove us back there; this service appears to be routinely offered to guests. The attendants will quickly be at your side with a glass of water or a cup of tea; their level of English is uneven, so be patient with some of them and use simple language in your requests.
When vacationing in Japan, one has to allow for local idiosyncrasies. For some reason, the hotel is for some reason unable to issue more than one key card per room, which is not much of a problem since you can always leave it at the reception. Paying the bill can be hit-and-miss: it took me just a couple of minutes; one of my friend had to wait half an hour for his credit card to be cleared for payment; another one got his visa card rejected, in which case the hotel offered credit, and issued an invoice for further settlement by bank transfer.
Having dinner in Niseko requires some preparation for a large group. The hotel's dining room can offer high-quality Hokkaido-style sets, but not later than 7pm and subject to booking one day in advance. There is a good number of very good restaurants nearby, but they can be quite full during the peak season, so before going out one shoud get the reception to call and ensure the availability of a table.
Our final experience came after our departure. We had left at the hotel my daughter's doll, an object of zero dollar but considerable sentimental value, that she had carried all her life. We then contacted the manager by e-mail; not only did the hotel find the doll and mail it to us back home in Hong kong, but it had been cleaned, nicely packaged and came together with a box of chocolates. That level of thoughtful attention will ensure that we keep fond memories of the place, and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for the a centrally located base to enjoy the famed Niseko powder.

Service and Food: As with everywhere else in Japan, service is excellent, only problem is the language barrier. It might take a while to convey message, but don't find it a major issue. Staff are well trained, well mannered and helpful. Breakfast is simple but with decent variety, tasty and served warm.
Value: Rooms aren't exactly cheap, but I think it is decent price for what you get. Location is great, ski lift is less than 200m away from storage shed. It is situated at the middle of the main street so everywhere is within walking distance. Heaps of places for food nearby. It's one of the few hotels that come with onsen and not just one but two, an indoor and outdoor pool. Female and males separated. Nothing beats soaking achy body after a full day on the slopes.
Room: Larger than most other Japanese hotels I've stayed and twin rooms come with two super single beds, sofa area, TV, dressing table and cupboard. I don't remember if there's a fridge cause I went during winter and it wasn't needed. Mattress, pillows and bedding are of good standards. Bathroom is also of decent size and spotlessly clean. Both my companion and myself slept really well and is happy with our stay. Hotel is well maintained and managed.

This is a solid 3 star hotel in a convenient central location with great views of Mt. Yotei from most rooms. We stayed in a Japanese room (8 tatami mats) in the new wing which was comfortable for 2 people but would be too small for more. The room was simple but well-appointed, all the necessities including a hair dryer, in-room safe, hot water dispenser, and nice Shiseido products. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a wide selection of tasty western and Japanese foods and surprisingly good croissants! The ski storage room is worn but functional and includes ski hangers and a nice warm boot drying room. There is a large salon full of granny furniture with a roaring fireplace and lots of seating for hanging out and playing games. The best feature of this hotel is its private onsen which is at a four-star level. It has a clean, modern bathing area with good products; dry sauna; indoor onsen and very nice stone outdoor onsen. Fabulous for tired legs after a cold day on the mountain!

I don’t do many reviews and I might add the only reason I do is to alert people that something is not right!!!
I booked my 2 single bed room for both me and my 8 year old daughter through booking.com in the fine print on booking.com I saw that they were charging per person although I had two names down for the booking so I did due diligence and called the property up and spoke to the individual on the phone at reception and asked them if they see the two names on the booking and I also asked them if the price that I payed covered both individuals staying in the room or would there likely be any additional charges the response to this over the phone was No Additional Charges which to me made sense because I thought I was paying for a room with 2 single beds. So I thought nothing more of it..... 4 days later both my daughter and I arrived at the hotel to check in Niseko Park Hotel Denied ever receiving a call and charged me for an additional person even though I had evidence of the phone call made to the hotel!!! They were rude ! They pulled the “ I don’t speak English card” I called Booking.com to assist which they tried and failed miserably! Had I have been traveling alone I would have cancelled the booking apon check in because I don’t deal too well with dishonest people. Unfortunately I was with my 8 year old daughter and they knew that so I was forced to pay! I find this situation unacceptable I hope they read this. I hope that no other family goes through this it’s not about the money it’s about honesty and integrity and I hope this post creates a paper trail.
Whenever you call this hotel for clarification record the call or get it in writing directly from the hotel they are a class act at denying things!
Location is good, the rooms are good, the breakfast is good.
