This was a great and economical place to stay in Donegal. The view and sites were just breathtaking. The staff couldn't do enough to help you and even came around and made suggestions. One bad weather day the gentleman on duty even took the time to teach us how to make Saint Bridget's crosses. The accommodations were excellent and the... More

I have stayed at Errigal Hostel about 5 or 6 times now. It is superbly well run, spolessly clean with very welcoming and informative staff, especially Kristina and Sinead.. I could not recommend Errigal Hostel more highly! I will be back staying there if there is space at New Year

A first for us - seniors from France - in a youth hostel, actually with a majority of hill-climbing seniors as it was September! Great experience, in a double room, good breakfast included, good kitchen equipment, recycling and composting encouraged. Friendly staff. Wonderful surroundings to visit even if one doesn't hill-climb. The jazz festival at Dunfanaghy was a plus. Will... More

Stayed here a week and though weather was very disappointing the hostel is great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The only suggestions I have are 1) a few more books to read in English in the snug please and 2) please put big notices beside all the red cords in ensuite shower rooms saying "for emergencies only,... My friend wanted to show me how beautiful Donegal was and had to really persuade me to come along with her to stay in this hostel as I am normally used to staying in hotels BUT I was pleasantly surprised! Staff were very friendly. Checked into a private twin room with en-suite. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The view from... More

Great welcome. Really clean with great facilities. So well heated we had to open the window at night with snow on Earagail outside the window! Loads of facilities. Massive common room and lovely cost snug.

My mum and 2 sisters stayed here (all 3 in late 50's). It was their first hostel experience which they loved. It was great value, with superb views. All staff members were very helpful. In a very rural location Perfect for those wanting to explore glen veagh sites etc

Located in the best possible place for hiking and walking, it's an incredibly beautiful place. The hostel staff were helpful and friendly, and the common areas were spacious and comfy. The beds are not the most comfortable, and the breakfast a bit bland, though at that price who cares! A really good experience.

The hostel is in a gorgeous area and the views are outstanding. The rooms are nice and well cleaned, beds are really comfortably and the duvet is nice and warm. However, for what we paid I didn't think it was good value for money. We paid £250 for 6 days and it was a very basic room. We paid to... More

Hi Jwray93, Thank you for staying with us in Dunlewey and for taking the time to leave us a review. We were aware that there was problems with the showers during August. We hope to have a new system in place over the low season. We hope that you will come back next year and check us out again. More
