I stayed at Yerba Buena for one month because I served as an intern working on the farm. I requested to have my own space- so they gave me my own room. I requested to eat as much wholesome food as possible- no problem. When I wanted to investigate different herbs and plants- they showed me. Working the garden was... More

My husband and I stayed with his mother in February. We were touring the island visiting friends and needed a place in that area. We found a soulful and authentic piece of Jamaican paradise. The drive in from the main road is rather tedious (8km - 20+ minutes) but worth it. Agape and Kwao are generous and warm-hearted hosts. The... More

This is transcribed from my Nana: "My granddaughter dragged my husband and I from St Andrews to Yerba Buena last spring. He moaned and groaned the whole way there, promising to drive home as soon as he dropped off my granddaughter and I. He didn't want to get eaten alive, he didn't want to dirty up his clothes in the... More

Agape and Kwao Adams made us feel more than welcome and at home at their beautiful property in Jamaica. I was super impressed with the amount of love and hard work they have invested into the land, growing food for themselves, the community and the guests that arrive there. You are certainly in for a treat to sit at Agape's... More

We totally loved staying at the Yerba Buena Farm. As a family with 4 small children, it was an excellent choice to stay with the hosts Agape and Kwao Adams and their 5 sons. Our children had a very good time joining in the Rastafarian life, making fire, baking bread, climbing trees and picking fruits. Agape and Kwao are incredibly... More

If you are looking for roots and culture and experience the real Rastafarian Jamaican Lifestyle, this is the place to go. First, it is away from big tourism areas and close to the coastline. It is nestled in a small community village called Strawberry Fields. The place is a guesthouse owned by a family with 5 boys. Several cabins are... More

My mom and I made our way down from the Blue Mountains to experience the other side of Jamaica - her beaches. Using public transport, and after a roughly 2 hour journey, we finally arrived at the gates of Strawberry Hill. As we sat in the back of the taxi we were approached by Agape (co-owner), a smiling, down to... More

This was a family trip we will always remember. Agape was incredibly helpful in making arrangements. We had a friendly and very safe driver waiting at the airport in Kingston, and were introduced to Jamaica with the drive across the island. The guest cabins were very clean and comfortable, with a nice ocean breeze. Rustic outdoor showers were a treat... More

When you are not looking for a exclusive 5 star resort, but more interested in the real Jamaica and its culture, this was the perfect holiday! Family Adams is very generous and welcoming. It felt as home as soon as we arrived. We had our own cabin, which was really cosy, in Jamaican style of bamboo and wood, nice private... More

Yerba Buena was a delightfully authentic country farm with modern amenities. All of the locals i met in Robins bay were lovely and there is a friendly local shop. Magnificent views over the rocky coastline and a small beach 2 minutes away with its own blue hole for bathing. Many local walks along the stunning coastline and inland to the... More

“Basic room and a view, not for people who want luxury, definitely for people who want to experience the real Jamaica. Vegetarian cuisine. Other local places to eat if you want chicken or fish, just ask.”

“These are real Jamaican cabins. Don't expect a 4-star hotel room. Your showers are outside, your walls are made of bamboo, and though you have a fan in your room, and a lovely sea breeze, there is no air conditioning. Prepare to meet real people and have a real Jamaican experience!”
