It's a great place for a retreat on a budget. We booked the room with 6 single beds and two bathrooms on either end of the room. The place is sprawling and full of trees and birds. The pool was nice. They had a basketball court and a museum within the premises. The food choices are very limited in Kai lodge and around the province. When we got tired of the food, we got our own ingredients from the market and grilled our food which was nice. You can rent their grill or kitchen. You'll need your own transportation to get around Kai Lodge and Bataan - we went to the Pawikan center, the beach (paid entrance at another resort), we also did the hike to the Aeta community and visited monuments and museums. In spite of the inconveniences and being far from the beach, I'm very glad we stayed here - it enhanced our overall Bataan experience.

If you’re looking for a quiet place in the middle of nowhere (dont worry the lodge is easily accessible by car), Kai Lodge is the place to be. We stayed here for two nights and we had a fabulous rest. Don’t expect too many amenities. The rooms are spacious, simple and clean. There’s a pool at the nearby Sage Hotel which is available to Kai Lodge guests for free. Best thing is you’re in a very natural and quiet environment with only the sounds of birds and wind. The lodge is located in a former settlement for Vietnamese and Cambodian refugees who were housed in several lodges throughout the park. There are still memorials and shrines to visit in park, as well as basketball courts and a larger swimming pool. The staff is not well trained but they are extremely friendly and helpful. The lodge restaurant serves tasteful, mostly filipino dishes. Recommended restaurant in Poblacion, Morong (about 15 min drive from the lodge) is Loleng’s Hu Tieu-an which serves excellent and fresh Vietnamese and Pinoy food.

Called this hotel to book a barkada room good for 10pax. Asked a lot of questions regarding the hotel amenities and room... I told alyssa(the one i was talking to) that pls book me on the certain barkada room good for 10 on the date that i wanted. And send me a picture of the room because i cant seem to find a picture of their barkada room.. After few hours, alyssa sent me the photo and ive called their contact number stated on their fb page. And someone answered (didnt got her name), i asked her how the details in paying the room that i booked. I told her that i will text the details of my booking as soon as i hang up the phone. Which i did.. After a few minutes, she texted that i cant be booked to the barkada room anymore, because theres someone who booked online. I told her how did that happen, i already confirmed it with ms alyssa, and she said yes, (my fault was i didnt get any booking number or what)... She told me that they dont have a control on the bookings online... What irritates me is that ive cancelled my booking in one hotel just because i thought all the while that im already booked at kai lodge. When i get back to hotel number 2, its not available anymore, which i fully understand because its a holidy and weekend... Just sad that they have a problem in the booking process.. Its as simple as if for example you have 3 barkada rooms for this hotel, and someone booked 1 room thru fone, you must immediately change the online booking to 2 to avoid these kind of incidents.. Its as simple as 1 2 3... What pains me more is that they dont do anything about it and chose not to reply to me.. Hope this incident wont happen to anyone in the future cause its really stressful..

We stayed at Kai Lodge for two nights and our experience was great. It´s a perfect place for relaxing in the middle of nowhere. There are pools to enjoy for a swim and plenty of space if you go with children. Rooms are quite big, we stayed in a room with 3 beds and big bathroom with couch, TV, fridge. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are many plans to do near Kai Lodge since visiting their museum about the Refugees, going to the beach which are really good plan especially for a sunset. If you like hiking you can visit Kanawan Falls just a 5 minutes from the hotel and an hour hike. We were traveling with a kid and Christopher from the staff guided us to the waterfalls, show us the beach and played with the little one who is still mentioning Kuya Chris :)

If you want to be just in your own quiet space after all the activity in zoobic or ocean adventure, this place is the best! Very quiet, nice pool, garden is well maintained, even the kubo in the garden. Yo can also do side trips because it was a refugee center before, there are some shrines inside the vicinity and also driving there will feed your eyes with amazing views! The room is cheap and very clean. We'll definitely be back here for some more quiet time.

Kai Lodge is located in a very unique area with an interesting history. The site used to be the former UN refugee camp for indochinese boat people. The rooms are nice, reasonable and spacious. Our group had a great time exploring the monuments left by the Boat people, enjoying the great views of mountains and valleys. We also hiked to the nearby forested Bataan national park where our objective was to reach and swim the pristine Kairukan water falls. We passed through a 100 meter hanging bridge over Morong River, went through an indigenous Aeta village and entered the jungle with very informative and entertaining mountain guides. We also allocated a day at a nearby beach. All the activities were arranged by the friendly Kai lodge staff. This place is off the beaten path and offers a new experience to travelers.
