We visited the Cornish Arms twice this week, while on holiday nearby in Bodmin.
The pub has very recently been taken over by new management, including new head chef Tristan & his partner in crime Gavin.
Both are lovely guys, really friendly and down-to-earth, and...More
Having rather complex dietary requirements, I always struggle when going out to eat. However, for the chef at The Cornish Arms this was no problem at all. He asked me what I could and couldn't eat and then made me a wonderful pea and shallot...More
What a dump, the inside of this pub is both appalling and confusing. You enter but you end up in the kitchen, no clear direction. The inside is dark, dingy and unwelcoming. Dat outside which was so much better. Couldn't find the ladies toilets eventually...More

All of the rooms are on the second floor. There is no elevator, but someone will carry your bags upstairs. There is virtually no traffic at night. But I would check to see if a band or musical performance has been scheduled for the bar area. There was a pretty loud (but good) duo of amped musicians one of the nights we stayed. I estimate that they finished around 11 PM.

Hi there, there is a walk down through the valley from pendoggett, it asked around an hour I would say to walk down and a little longer back, you can park in port Isaac as long as you get there early!
Enjoy your stay
