A visit to this island is a must for any visitors to Thailand.
I regret not paying extra for the seaview as it's really worth it.
Little things that didn't work: Wi fi connection wasn't stable, safety box was locked and TV in the room had no plug to connect into. Make sure you take some anti mosquito spray/burner with you as there's a high chance you get eaten alive in that area.
The location is quite away from the walking street, maybe 15 min of walk. We took the sunset boat trip from the hotel with a very decent price - 450Baht per person and it was really nice and fun.
Honestly, the Sunset beach, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and quiet one. Pattaya and Sunrise are quite crowded, noisy and full of longtail boats.
If you are looking for something more quiet and secluded - that's the place to stay.

We had a fantastic week with them in March and so booked again for the start of November but due to the serious health and safety issues there we had to leave after 3 nights. Despite assuring Booking.com they'd refund me they have not, they are ignoring all my attempts at contact with them and I do not feel they will ever issue the refund we are due.
I paid over £300 for one week and had to leave after 3 nights so there is 4 full nights refund due of 8,179 Baht.
The first night my Husbands foot went through the deck outside our room and injured his leg in the process. The next day we were moved to another room that had white mould on every single surface, the woodwork, the floor, the sofa. Everything in the cabin was damp to the touch and it stunk.
Not wanting to complain I went and got cleaning products and attempted to clean it myself, it reappeared within hours. The next day we woke to rain pouring through the roof in two places, one dripping through the electric light and one directly into my suitcase. There was also a leak above the door which had totally saturated the curtains.
We told the owner Lucas we were going to stay elsewhere and he firstly offered us to stay at his new Cannabis hotel and he'd give us a cheap deal....considering we'd already paid for a week and leaving on day 3 we refused.
We booked accommodation elsewhere and the contrast was like night and day. We finally had a clean, dry and decent place to stay.
Lucas agreed we could have a refund and that we'd get it within 10-15 days, we are now on day 26 and still no refund. I am still being ignored and I just want to warn others that are thinking of staying here not to.
Koh Lipe us beautiful, don't let this absolute hovel ruin your time on Lipe. Yes, I have an axe to grind and I will continue to do so until I get my refund, Any self respecting business owner would rectify this but they flat out ignore all correspondence. All I can say is SHAME ON YOU Lucas and Bayview.
This accommodation was nice. Pretty basic, but safe and you got your own space. Didn't have hot water for the shower, but I guess that's just part of the island experience. The food and staff were really helpful - getting around the island was easy the staff are always looking to offer lifts and help you, and very cheaply.

We were unlucky to stay for 3 days when the bin boat was mored next to the resort - the smell and flies were horrendous . Although the breakfasts were good- eating them in the restaurant by the last morning was impossible.
The rubbish boat comes twice a month for 3/4 days at a time at the begining and end - avoid these times!
We moved to a different resort for the next few days which was cheaper and 100% better-
The Ferry to the island is 2 hours with two other island stops for you to spend money. From the island is direct and 1.5 hours.
We opted for a plan B snorkeling tour via the hotel, with 4 snorkeling spots. 2 were very good (2nd and 3rd) . They also take you to 2 islands for photos and monkey island for lunch. Take some cash for lunch time, in case you want more than the included lunch. At lunch you can add snacks or drinks. Bench seating is available with a 5 minute walk down the beach.
Owner and all staff are the best

We got a “deluxe a/c” bungalow, it had a nice private balcony but that’s all that was good about it.
It’s very basic, barely fits two people in, no shelves and no hooks to place your clothes. No soap in the bathroom, only had a bit of shampoo and shower gel that lasted for 2 days out of 7. The shower drain is located at the entrance, next to the toilet, it doesn’t do it job so every time you enter the bathroom you walk in water.
The worst part ever is soundproofing. It’s non existent. We stayed at a distant part and every night at 4-6 a.m. we heard roosters singing and dogs barking for half an hour 5 meters away from us. We didn’t get much sleep.
"Customer service is NON existent, they refuse to answer to correspondence and they will not give you a refund even when they promise that they will."Read full review
"The hotel provides free pier transfer. It takes 10 - 15 mins to walk frm the hotel to walking street, or 50B per transfer. The sunset here is insane, dont miss it! "Read full review
