Nice simple accommodation. The beach and water is what you visit this beautiful island for. A really nice 4 night stay, some of the timber is looking a little worse for wear, but still had an enjoyable stay.
A visit to this island is a must for any visitors to Thailand.

We stayed here for 2 nights, had a garden view bungalow with a/c. Comfy bed and blanket, cozy bungalow but missing cleanliness - having big glass doors and huge window in the toilet, it's a shame to keep it dirty and dusty. Staff is friendly and bit laid out, like most of the people in Lipe.
I regret not paying extra for the seaview as it's really worth it.
Little things that didn't work: Wi fi connection wasn't stable, safety box was locked and TV in the room had no plug to connect into. Make sure you take some anti mosquito spray/burner with you as there's a high chance you get eaten alive in that area.
The location is quite away from the walking street, maybe 15 min of walk. We took the sunset boat trip from the hotel with a very decent price - 450Baht per person and it was really nice and fun.
Honestly, the Sunset beach, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and quiet one. Pattaya and Sunrise are quite crowded, noisy and full of longtail boats.
If you are looking for something more quiet and secluded - that's the place to stay.

Really nice cozy bungalows with a bit extra touch. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was fresh. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to pattaya beach but its an easy walk. The sunset beach is just down a couple of stairs but it did not really impress. It could have been better but there was alot of litter around. The hotel though should not get any complains. Really liked it and would love to come back.

If you're looking for somewhere beautiful and relaxing to stay on Lipe, I highly recommend you DON'T stay at Bayview Sunset Resort or Bayview Hill. These two places are one and the same and if you're unfortunate like us, the cabins come with white mould over every surface, the deck outside your room is likely to collapse when you stand on it, there are holes in the roof with water pouring through electric lights and the customer service is atrocious, non existent and NOT customer focused at all!

We had a fantastic week with them in March and so booked again for the start of November but due to the serious health and safety issues there we had to leave after 3 nights. Despite assuring Booking.com they'd refund me they have not, they are ignoring all my attempts at contact with them and I do not feel they will ever issue the refund we are due.
I paid over £300 for one week and had to leave after 3 nights so there is 4 full nights refund due of 8,179 Baht.
The first night my Husbands foot went through the deck outside our room and injured his leg in the process. The next day we were moved to another room that had white mould on every single surface, the woodwork, the floor, the sofa. Everything in the cabin was damp to the touch and it stunk.
Not wanting to complain I went and got cleaning products and attempted to clean it myself, it reappeared within hours. The next day we woke to rain pouring through the roof in two places, one dripping through the electric light and one directly into my suitcase. There was also a leak above the door which had totally saturated the curtains.
We told the owner Lucas we were going to stay elsewhere and he firstly offered us to stay at his new Cannabis hotel and he'd give us a cheap deal....considering we'd already paid for a week and leaving on day 3 we refused.
We booked accommodation elsewhere and the contrast was like night and day. We finally had a clean, dry and decent place to stay.
Lucas agreed we could have a refund and that we'd get it within 10-15 days, we are now on day 26 and still no refund. I am still being ignored and I just want to warn others that are thinking of staying here not to.
Koh Lipe us beautiful, don't let this absolute hovel ruin your time on Lipe. Yes, I have an axe to grind and I will continue to do so until I get my refund, Any self respecting business owner would rectify this but they flat out ignore all correspondence. All I can say is SHAME ON YOU Lucas and Bayview.

I suspect wherever you stay on this island you'll leave happy - it is just a beautiful vibe.

This accommodation was nice. Pretty basic, but safe and you got your own space. Didn't have hot water for the shower, but I guess that's just part of the island experience. The food and staff were really helpful - getting around the island was easy the staff are always looking to offer lifts and help you, and very cheaply.

Decay, stink and filth: I wouldn't recommend the Bayview even to my worst enemy! The photos don't even remotely correspond to reality. We had booked the "Queen Sea View Suite" and the room really needed to be closed down: smelly, dirty and old. We ONLY stayed because we only had to stay for one night and were also passing through. The bay is pretty but the sun arrives late, we recommend taking a taxi and moving east (in front of the Mountain Resort) for magnificent places. NOT RECOMMENDED.

The bungalows are not very clean - our bathroom sink/ walls had not been cleaned well for a while
We were unlucky to stay for 3 days when the bin boat was mored next to the resort - the smell and flies were horrendous . Although the breakfasts were good- eating them in the restaurant by the last morning was impossible.
The rubbish boat comes twice a month for 3/4 days at a time at the begining and end - avoid these times!
We moved to a different resort for the next few days which was cheaper and 100% better-

Several levels of rooms available, nice restaurant with many options, including Lobster. You cannot rent a scooter on the island, but the hotel is very good in helping you get cheap transportation. 50B to really anywhere. If you get a taxi around the island it is 50 B per person. Several nice beaches to visit, Mark the manager will happily assist you in choices and transportation. They also have a restaurant in town, called Fin.

The Ferry to the island is 2 hours with two other island stops for you to spend money. From the island is direct and 1.5 hours.

We opted for a plan B snorkeling tour via the hotel, with 4 snorkeling spots. 2 were very good (2nd and 3rd) . They also take you to 2 islands for photos and monkey island for lunch. Take some cash for lunch time, in case you want more than the included lunch. At lunch you can add snacks or drinks. Bench seating is available with a 5 minute walk down the beach.

Owner and all staff are the best

avoid! Toxic. not sure what is more toxic, the rooms bug spray/wood treatment or the Owner of the resort. we were attracted by the photos of this place and did not mind the costly (3000TBat) simple accommodation a bid out of town. when checking in there was an intense chem smell in the room, we figured it will go away but after returning in the evening it was still dominant. (we requested a different room, but ower as not interested in moving us. asked if we can chancel the additional 2 days and get a refund. absolutely no way (she was getting paid in cash) when mentioning to the owner, this is a bad business practice that only will lead to a negative review she absolutely when ballistic, jelling, and storming around the office, and in the end, we packed up lost our 6000TBat and move to a great place. I feel sad for the staff that has to work there

They have a pretty beach with free sun chairs, not so crowded. The beach bar staff is very nice and helpful. We also loved the cleaning. The towels are changed daily and bedsheets once in two days.
We got a “deluxe a/c” bungalow, it had a nice private balcony but that’s all that was good about it.
It’s very basic, barely fits two people in, no shelves and no hooks to place your clothes. No soap in the bathroom, only had a bit of shampoo and shower gel that lasted for 2 days out of 7. The shower drain is located at the entrance, next to the toilet, it doesn’t do it job so every time you enter the bathroom you walk in water.
The worst part ever is soundproofing. It’s non existent. We stayed at a distant part and every night at 4-6 a.m. we heard roosters singing and dogs barking for half an hour 5 meters away from us. We didn’t get much sleep.

how did you get from pier to this hotel?
Answer from Anwa Tipmontha
Satun, Thailand7 contributions1 helpful vote
By taxi ,when you arrive at the pier you walk a little bit from there and then you'll see some taxi (three wheel motor bike ) They always only charge just 50 bath per person it doesn't matter about the distance it is the close price But the resort have this service too It the same price but per round not per person if you have more than 2 person this service can save your pocket 😋
