We stayed in a fun hut, simple, small. But for a little more you can have some front beach places. This one is near everything, in the middle of the island. One night a group of young women bothered all night long!!

Ko Lipe was a really hot and humid place, especially from mid-morning onwards until late afternoon. So I was really glad to have a cool and comfortable room to hide in.
This "resort" was more like basic, clean, compact and comfortable hotel. All rooms were on the ground level.
Strategically situated right next to a clinic (South Andaman Medical Clinic) at the 0 (zero) km milestone. Adequate massage outlets nearby, just meters away. 7-11 and pharmacy was just 5 mins away on the left, when you exit into the main "walking street".
Quiet and peaceful enough to sleep at night and the music from the nearby bar was not intrusive at all. After a full day of activities, it's hard not to fall asleep in the evening.
Loved the coconut ice cream I found opposite the hotel.
Point to note for Langkawi as port of embarkation: Immigration was organized but the boat operator will collect your passports and return to you at Ko Lipe before immigration and also on the boat prior to arriving at Langkawi.

Stayed for 3 nights in their Deluxe Double Bed room.

Love the locations - at the middle of walking street and walking distance to Koh Lipe pier and Sunrise beach.

Room was a bit basic but sufficient - with aircon, fan, hot shower, Wifi & TV. There's a bit of mosquito problem so please ,make sure you close your door and windows all the time. There's room for improvement especially on the cleanliness. We had no issue with the noise even though our room is quite to the front.

Overall, it's an OK resort. I might consider to stay here again but will explore other options too.

I am currently staying at the Serene Resort and a highly recommend it.

There are two types of rooms, one without aircon (cheaper option) one with the aircon (more expensive option for 1800 bath a night).

The room with the aircon is incredibly confortable, with a large double bed, modern tv, hot water and wifi.

The resort is incredibly clean, safe, and very comfortable. I've seen a couple of resorts for the same price, but Serene was the one I instanly fell in love.

The resort is located on the main street, close to bars, and restaurants, and it's 10 minutes walk to the beach :)

I will definitely stay here again, next time I come to Koh Lipe and I highly recommend it to everyone, who likes comfort, safety, and luxury :)

We were planning on staying here for a few days, but the cleaning ladies robbed me and my friends during our stay... when we confronted them and the front desk, all they did was laugh and made us feel so helpless like it was a normal thing and it was our fault for leaving valuables in our room... do NOT stay here unless you want to be robbed!!!

The location was good as it was along the walking street where you can get everything. The staff were friendly.
Stayed in the deluxe double bed room. They were able to add an extra mattress for us. The room was quite spacious. Bed were comfortable, aircon was good. Room had a tv but all channels in thai. Bathroom was ok size. Had hot water shower and good water pressure.
There were chairs and a table outside which was good for those who smokes or like to chill outside. They even provided a clothes rack to hang your wet clothes. Only problem was that there were lots of mosquitos but that’s just how it is around the whole island.
Overall was a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Our room was next to the B100 Cocktail Bar, which wasn't open when we checked in. There were 2 beds with 5cm thick foam mattresses, 2 mosquito nets that where in the wrong place for the beds (or vice versa), a fan. The bathroom had a most unpleasant smell.
When we returned from dinner we had to ask the bar customers to move so we could reach our door. A live "musician" played till midnight - he might as well have been in our room, the dividing wall was so useless - followed by recorded music until about 2am, when trying to sleep became possible.
The very far from Serene Resort is in the top 3 worst places I've had to pay to stay at, and it was very far from cheap too.

Great location straight off Walking Street. Not noisy at all as we had a room right at the back.

Room was basic, had aircon and hot water. Staff were very friendly too.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay on a budget, this is an ideal choice.

We spend 2 nights in Serene Resort. On initial booking, we were quite reluctant to book this place due to the many negative comment about the place being noisy and strange smell etc. etc. However, we didn't find all this problem during our stay in the guest house.

The owner of the guest house is a kind-hearted fatherly man, who happened to a Thai Chinese descendant who can speak fluent Hokkien. He is informative about good food and good tour on the island, and nice to chat with. The resort is very easy to find, and it located just in the middle of walking street.

The rooms, beds are quite new and clean. At night, the pub do open, but it is not really as noisy as what we expected.

Generally, I think this is a better backpacker guest house as compared to harmony bed and bakery, which we spend 2 nights as well. The bad point about the guest house is the power socket odd location on the bed head, and the room is generally smaller.
