Good location with one of few beach areas where people can find shade under the trees BUT the place is beeing ruined by a clan of Bulgarian people returning every year for several months. They behave extremely bad, as if they owned the place. No respect for rules or laws, no respect for the local Thai people or other guests. They make the best beach area to a gypsy campground. They cook their own food, steal tables, chairs, plates etc from the resort and from other bungalows and make their own permanent restaurant area on the beach where people want to sunbathe or be in the shade. They leave the plates to the resort to be cleaned. They don´t move out of bungalows that are reserved by other people. The receptionist, Annee, who is a lovely girl, is devastated. They don´t listen to her or respect her. At one time I saw them throw a bucket of foodscraps right into the crystal clear water. She got furious and told them not to. They didn´t care. She called the tourist police who came and scared them for a minute BUT the next day they were at it again, cooking on the beach using a big gasstove which could set fire to the whole bungalowplace in a second.Of course absolutely forbidden but... The Bulgarians are exploitnig the place and unfortunately giving it a very bad reputation. Daya, run and own by locals, loose a lot of money. Instead of having guests who pay full price for the perfectly located bungalows and who would eat at their restaurant they this season have about 20 Bulgarian who spend nothing.

Daya resort is located on less crwoded side of Pattaya beach. This is the only beach front bungalow that costs 1,000baht per night. The room is acceptable, I mean, what can we expect for this price anyway. The staffs are otherwise very unfriendly and lack of service mind. No towel change unless you go to ask for it. food is not so good as well. (BBQ is ok, other menus, not so much). No website you can make a reservation. the only way is to call and this is the only phone number available +66 85 0802087

Stayed 5 days mid-end Nov and would recommend to travellers looking for cheap basic room. 300 bhat per room per night. Fan. Cold shower. Comfortable enough bed with mosi net. At the end of pattaya beach so quiet for sunbathing in the day as long as you don't mind a short walk to the main street. No WiFi.

We arrived in this beautifull Island, but we was really unlucky to find our accomodation...
the big mistake was no booking in advance, all nice hotels were fully booked,so we walk down the beach and find an accomodation on Daya resort....
We pay 1200 bath for a beach front bungalow:outside looked ok...but insede was terrible.
The bungalows was stinky and rotten, all inside was old,dirty...the bed was broken and matress you can feel springs. The bathroom was not usable cause too stinky..on the back of the bungalow have all black water coming from the near hut..even on the beach you can not stay because the wind blows this nice smell all around.
We stay one night and we left in the early morning this nightmare place,my girl didnt sleep for all the night cause scarry from bugs walking out from the toilet into the room.
A place like this is not acceptable even for 100 bath.
Stay away from this place!!!

Greeting was appalling, they pretended that they did not have our reservation and we had to go through one hour of negotiations, despite having shown them all of the booking confirmations. At one stage the manager pretended to go off to call the agent but clearly just went and sat in the restaurant and left us sweating on the beach with no idea whether we had somewhere to stay or not. When we approached her and insisted that she sort it out she kept pretending she was making calls, which she clearly and visibly was not. She also kept looking at a colleague and smirking, which gave us the impression something was afoot. We have found reviews that say this happens often, they let a room through an online agent and then sell it to a walk-in at a higher price.

The room was disgusting, dark, hot and filthy. I have attached pictures in which you will see that they have filled gaps in the walls with dirty toilet paper, the stained and smelly bedding and the general state of the room, walls etc. The sink was hanging off the wall, the tap rusty and the plug hole blocked with what looked like years of hair. No attempt was made to clean our room whilst we were there, in fact, the staff seemed to spend the bulk of the day lying in the shade, smoking and coughing. They were rude and unhelpful. It is the managements view that, I quote, they do not care about agency bookings we have stayed in more than 500 hotels in the last 5 yea Sri and this is by far the worst experience that we have had. There are plenty of better hotels on the island writhin this price range, keep looking.

Stayed there for one night on the beach, aircon and bed ok, but that's it. No pressure from shower so had to sit on the floor, pipe from wash hand basin just leaked straight onto floor, an old wobbly table and one plastic chair on the balcony.

Staff in the morning sit outside smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee and coughing their guts up, very pleasant.

Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole ever again....

We booked to nights and stayed four. Good sign for it. The price for a bungalow is between 600B and 1000B. Without A/C but this is really not necessary. The staff is friendly and Anni from the reception always happy and helpful. We had a lot of fun an thank her a lot. The bungalows are located on the end of the Pattaya beach. Quiet and with a small reef close the beach. We enjoyed it a lot!!!

we stayed at Daya Resort for 3 nights in early November. We where lucky to get one of the beach front bungalows, where you can sit in the shadow on the veranda under the trees. The Daya is located on the end of Pattaya Beach, where it is not so noisy as futher up. Unfortunately, the rooms need a decent cleaning. The bed are rather sub standard, our one even broke down in the middle of the night, but we fixxed it our selve the next day. The Beach BBQ with freshly catched fish was nice and reasonable priced. We enjoyed the snorkeling trip for 650 Baht pp.

Can't really complain, given that I think we were in the cheapest accommodation on the island at 500 BHT a night, but this place was pretty terrible and probably the worst in all of South East Asia.
Staff were rude and slow and generally behaving in bizarre and inappropriate ways - although did get marginally better in the last couple of days. There's also dogs everywhere.

The room was pretty awful - just a mattress on the floor with dirty bedding and super thin walls. Though there was a fan. Luckily we also had our own mosquito net.
We also shared our bungalow with another roommate - a huge spider.

This place gets it's second star purely for location. Koh Lipe was truly amazing and this place is right on the beach front, at the quietest end.

Wouldn't recommend this place unless you paid less than us and really were skint.
