Felix and his wife died Saturday when the earthquake hit Ecuador. Canoa was devastated. Felix was a wonderful host and made great breakfasts always wanted to please. Felix worked in the USA for many years and saved his money so he could come back to Ecuador and open his Htel

Best place I stayed in Ecuador. Felix the owner is a super friendly and helpful guy, I had a great room with ensuite and balcony overlooking the park for a great price, and enjoyed Felix' wonderful breakfasts every morning. Felix is a great chef and if you're lucky he'll cook you some of his signature dishes in the evenings too.

Felix gave me the best room in the hostel. It faced the park, 3rd floor, had a small balcony (although with no furniture, 6 out can take one of the chairs out there). The location was perfect, away from the main road of Canoa that leads to the beach, but close enough to walk to the beach in less than...

Super friendly man running this hostel selling quality american breakfast for $4. Banana pancakes were an awesome remedy for a night of drinking. The owner was super helpful in getting us to our next destination as well. One of the many people we met in Canoa who really left an impression.

This hostel has clean, comfortable rooms. Felix was a very nice and accommodating host, always happy to help and making sure we were ok! He even let us change rooms (because the other room didnt have hot water at the time) and exchanged the fan in the room for a new one. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, for 4 dollars...

Quiet, clean and affordable place. The owner is super friendly and helpful with local info and generously let me check in very early off a middle of the night bus, with no extra charge. Simple but clean building and rooms, tasty and reasonably priced breakfasts, and nice dinners cooked to order at whatever time I chose. A very relaxing stay...

Didn't stay at the hostel, but this review is for the breakfast. Ate here 3 times for breakfast, and was delicious and consistent. Great value for the price as well, breakfast included juice, coffee, toast, eggs, and hashbrowns, prefect way to start the day. Also had the pancakes one time and they were pretty good as well.

Felix the owner was really friendly and helpful. We had a bus leaving at 10pm and he let us use the room all day until then free of charge. He is very service minded and clearly takes pride in what he does, his hotel is clean and well maintained and he makes delicious breakfasts. Definitely recommend this place for comfort,...

First up, it is a very nice, quiet place to stay in Canoa. Rooms are clean, especially the bathrooms, and you get frehsly washed towels upon checkin. By day, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Wifi is free, and although breakfast ist not included, it is definitely worth paying $3 for it! The problem is that we probably arrived...
