You may be surprised as I was when you walk in the place. It doesn't look like a fancy place. It looks old and faded. BUT the food and service are worth more than what you pay for the stay. So it's as if you...More
This was our third ryokan experience, and to be honets, it lacked a bit compared to the other two (price was similar). While the building is quaint and charming, both the common areas and our room are in need of some renovations, and there wasn't...More
This was our favourite hotel on the Kumano Kodo Trek. It had wonderful traditional baths - both inside and out and we all had a great time soaking away the pain of the walk. I will upload some photos to share of the beautiful baths....More
This was a great experience! We stayed here 3 nights and had it as our base for hiking parts of the Kumano Kodo. The staff was super friendly, they only spoke a limited amount of English but it was no problem. The breakfast and dinners...More

I am going to bring my family to Kyoto the end of next month, and I hope to book a room for 6 adults (3 female + 3 male) and 1 baby (about 23 months old and very sweet girl). Do you still have 1 or 2 rooms available for us (April 2nd to April 4th. 2 nights)?
The room suggested -
1. One room: 6 beds Japanese style tatami or just normal beds with 1 or 2 private bathrooms.
2. Two rooms: One is 4 beds mixed dormitory with a private bathroom, and the other one is one big bed for parents and baby with a private bathroom.
Please do let me know A.S.A.P. so that I can arrange our schedule now.
P.S. we do prefer to stay in first floor due to my dad's feet are not very good for climbing stairs (he is 68 years old) or you have elevator is perfect!
