Look no further! The lodge is situated within a 5 min walk to the nearest lift! It's a family owned business for over 40 years, and it truly shows in how they care for you. The staff, as well as the owners, can speak English. We opted for the breakfast, dinner, and lift tickets for two days package for a...

I stayed a night here while visiting the mountains. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were English speaking staff, who were really fun to speak with. The hotel has a very homely feel to it. このホテルのスタフはすごく優しかった。近いの山をせつめいしましたと手伝いしました。 ホテルは良いと優し気分がある。 ありがとうございます。

We were moved to this hotel after the centrally located hotel we were in was overbooked. We were given a b room although charged for an a room. The room was small, smelly and had nowhere to put clothes. The bed was lumpy and the bedspread dirty. The shared bath was small and could only be used for limited hours...

I stayed here for 3 nights during a ski trip to Zao. It's quite basic, but comfortable and clean. Service was friendly, but hit and miss. There wasn't always someone around at the reception desk to assist you. We ate at the hotel restaurant on two nights. The food was good, but we had to eat when at a time...

Thank you to Mao and your staff for a relaxing and memorable stay in Zao. You looked after us extremely well. We stayed for 6 nights in Zao Onsen as part of our 3 week snowboard/ski adventure in Northern Honshu across 3 different resorts. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious and although, in what appears to be typical...

Thank you Mao and family for a great stay. The food is excellent, breakfast and dinner every night I would recommend. We love the homemade jams. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are a good size, but not any storage space if you have four to a room. This was our second stay at Lodge Scole and it didn't...

I stayed in Lodge Scole along with wife for three nights in February 2015. We had booked the Lodge through internet after careful study of available reviews in tripadvisor and other sources. Nevertheless, we were anxious till we reached there, as we were pure vegetarians. We were specially worried whether we can adjust to the kitchen preparing non-veg items with...

A very good option for skiing at Zao Onsen. Good value. The set course meals are very good, as is breakfast. The rooms are modest but adequate. The service is friendly and good and good English is spoken by some staff. The location near one of the main gondola lifts is very convenient. The nearby Best Rentals ski hire is...

Mao, her family and the staff were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. The property had many options for relaxing making it ideal for families with or without children. There was even an expert masseur on the staff! We had a group of about 9 adults and 4 children and everyone had a great time. We especially enjoyed the Japanese banquet...
