This new hotel is on raised ground and affords a great view over the ongoing construction works at Rikuzentakata. They don't seem to get many foreign tourists here and the staff on the front desk had to resort to their laminated cards of key phrases...More

Destroyed by the tsunami back in 2011 this newly rebuilt hotel is on higher ground overlooking the sea and what was the city. It's tastefully decorated, clean, and the staff are incredible. A must stay.
