We went up to Manchester (from London) for a wedding reception. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. Had room 253 which was really lovely and so big! It's a superior room for £75 and well worth it. Very nice view to the gardens which are very big, must be great in the summer with all the flowers. The hotel is...

Arrived and was placed in a room (250) in an adjoining annexe. Good size, extremely quiet and ticked all the boxes I required. Breakfast is fresh and presented well. Evening meal taken in the bar area and it was very good. Did not use the restaurant. Good parking to front and rear. Best of all - the staff. So polite...

4 of us stayed for one night in the rooms in the building out the back of the main house. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Pretty garden area. It was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area we were going out. £65 for a double with free parking,...

Lovely overnight stay before going on holiday the following morning. Stayed in main part of hotel, very large room and spotless. Bathroom very clean and a powerful shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were never too busy to have a little chat with the guests. Breakfast was delicious hot and plentiful. yes it does need a little...

We book here quite regular as it is great for the price you pay! Lovely staff members and great food. Our engineers love staying here as it is a very quiet and nice hotel to stay in if you're travelling. The rooms are just the right size and you get everything you need in them, if not the staff are...

We book a "Standard Double Room" at this facility. No where did they mention that they have an annex nor do they present "the annex" in their pictures (see picture attached). Hardly surprising when considering that the "annex" looks nothing like the main house. Off course when checking in they informed us that "standard" rooms are in the annex and...

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food and beautiful gardens. Easy access to the Manchester area whilst being away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Would definitely stay there again. Ask for a very quiet room if you are sensitive to sound as the people in the adjacent room could be heard at times.

Ok first off there are two sides to this review one story of great happiness and expectation and one that explains the poor rating. Myself and my fiancee have done a fair bit of traveling over the last few months looking for a perfect place to hold our wedding reception, after a long day on the road we stumbled on...

I stayed here one night back in 1992 on a business trip. Arrived very late due airline delays for weather in London. Even though I arrived around 1am the lady fixed me a nice light meal. Later the breakfast was superb for an American visitor.

I booked two nights for my newly-wed dad and it sounds as if you lived up to all the reviews I'd read prior to booking. To quote, "lovely people, location and food". Can't ask for more, so thanks for making a couple of old 'uns very happy!

Thank Julie H
