The main tourist attractions here are Lake Tazawako and the lovely statue of Tatsuko, the beautiful young woman who was cursed for her pride and became a dragon. The rooms here are large and the lake views splendid. Onsen hours are limited, and there is a set Japanese breakfast rather than buffet. WiFi only works in the lobby. On the...

The view from my room was stunning. I went in June and there were not many tourists. Was given an upgrade (I think to a higher floor) from a regular lake-view room. The rooms have panoramic windows overlooking Tazawa Lake. I spent two nights here - there's not much else to do unless you take the bus to the opposite...

Thank you for having you take advantage of the other day. In addition, this time thank you very much for a high evaluation. You were allowed to be satisfied with scenery of Lake Tazawa. If there is an opportunity, please use a hotel again. I wait heartily. Tazawako rose park HOTEL Manager

This hotel is located right alongside lovely lake Tazawa, near the golden statue that is a landmark in the area. It's on the quieter side of the lake, so there isn't much else in the vicinity other than a tourist souvenir shop or two. This is definitely a place to stay when you want to kick back and relax. The...

The Hotel is located right by the lake and near one of the main tourist sites (statue of Tatsuko). It is a bit of a ways from the main shops at Tazawako - so unless you drive you are probably committed to having dinner and breakfast there. There is a souvenir shop nearby which also has some convenience store type...

The main reason to come here is for the view, which is spectacular. It's a good base to visit Tsurunou Onsen from, a nice scenic bus ride up into the hills (but you need pickup from the bus stop). We choose the budget room which was nice, but no view from the room. A few quirks: no wifi, and no...

Lucky to have 2 nights in this peaceful spot. Only hotel on this side of the lake. Room overlooking the lake is a must but more expensive than the mountain view. Room spacious, huge windows with great view of the lake and no one looking in. You feel very secluded at this hotel, nice change from the crowds often experience...

This hotel is situated far from where the majority of hotels in Tazawako area are - but thanks to that, you get unparelleled peace and tranquility. The iconic Golden Tatsuko statue is right beside the hotel, and the view of the sunrise over the lake from here is absolutely awesome. You can either watch it from one of the rooms...

The Tazawako Prince Hotel offers excellent views of Lake Tazawako, which is a quiet circular caldera lake of 20km circumference. Hotel staff struggle a bit with English but are still very friendly. Rooms are nice and Western, though they could use a bit of re-furbishing. Make sure to request a room that overlooks the lake. Meals are served in the...
