Everything about this place was peaceful and enjoyable. Dan, the host, was most pleasant and helpful and cooked a great loaf of bread for the breakfast basket, which was supplied. The suite was clean and comfortable. Watching the sun set over the valley from the spa was a special treat. My one complaint would be that the pillows were quite hard and all the same type.

What beautiful views!! Many wallaby's and kookaburras! The accommodation was spacious, quiet, clean, with a comfortable king size bed! Great water pressure in the shower, and plenty of hot water! Dan was very friendly and helpful, doing what he could to make out stay restful and enjoyable, even helping us with our luggage! The breakfast basket was ample and delicious, especially the home-baked bread! There is an outdoor spa with views, a pool, a BBQ area, and a very welcoming lounge area provided a cozy common area. The town of Canungra is a short and lovely 8 minute drive away, and Mount Tamborine around 30 minutes. Highly recommend Wallaby Ridge Retreat, will definitely there again!!

Wallaby Ridge Retreat is far enough away from the busyness of the Gold Coast and city life yet close enough to the convenience of big city services. The property is massive and is connected to a National Park. Beautiful Nature tranquility and home away from home like accommodation allowed me to relax and unwind from the stresses life has been dishing out. Dan (the Manager) was very welcoming and professional and played a big part in making my experience at the retreat a positive one. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful location with a good amount of Nature to Relax and Unwind from Life. Matt

Stayed at the Wallaby Ridge Retreat the Silky Oak Suite with my partner over the Christmas long weekend. It was exactly the peaceful getaway, we needed after a crazy year. The property is tranquil and relaxing and seeing the wallabies in the morning hopping around was amazing. The highlight was definitely the spa overlooking the hill, the views at sunset are breathtaking! The manager Dan was also very friendly and easy to deal with. The breakfast package was fresh and plentiful for two. Will definitely be staying here in the future!

My partner and I have loved staying here Wonderful energy, peaceful and restorative Very clean, beautiful facilities The place touched our hearts Friendly warm people managing, apparently new management Love that the pool and spa are in a natural setting The place feels like it's been loved and cared for Wallabies and birdlife are everywhere We used the big lawn for a picnic for two, and used the walking track in the forest, where we could almost see the indigenous who would have once lived on the hillside and gully Can't wait to come back!!!

When we booked, this place was owned by Robyn and John, who are mentioned in previous reviews, but it was sold in November. We stayed in December. On arrival we were met by a pleasant man who showed us to our room then gave us a tour of the place. It started going down hill when he showed us the pool and volunteered the fact that he hadn't cleaned it, whilst moaning about the leaves which fall from the surrounding trees. The pool had lots of leaves on the bottom, as well as dirt, so obviously hadn't been cleaned for a few days. Within minutes of being in our room we discovered that the air conditioning didn't work. We informed the manager who acted surprised and said it was working when the last occupants were there. He changed our room to a not so nice one next door. When we booked we opted for the option where you have a breakfast pack for each day that you stay, including cooked and continental, plus daily fresh bread. It was advertised as being topped up daily. This did not happen. In the fridge were two breakfast packs containing 2 sausages and two pieces of bacon in each pack. When I informed the manager that we had paid for three it seemed to go over his head. Only after I asked again the next day did we get the third pack. As for cleanliness, it was okay, if you ignore the hair in the sink, cobwebs in the corner and a bathroom cupboard which had dust and cobwebs behind it, showing that it hadn't been cleaned properly. When we got home we e-mailed, who we thought to be Robyn, and received several messages from the new manager informing us that the place was in new hands and that he hadn't been informed of what was on the website, or the meals situation. He wasn't unpleasant but had an excuse for everything. My wife and I were disappointed to say the least and will not be staying here again.

Thankyou for the feedback, your time is appreciated. My name is Dan and I am the new manager. I am sorry nothing was said at the time about the cleanliness, we would have happily rectified the situation. I have personally spent time with Robyn and John, we are only carrying forward motions that were put in place by them, absolutely nothing has changed. We apologize for your experience.

Wallaby Ridge Retreat was just what we needed to get away from it all. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa, set amongst the trees with wildlife including wallabies and great birdlife. Robyn was very welcoming and gave us an insight into local attractions. Very quiet and very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was awesome with a highlight being the home made bread. We plan to return and to stay for longer next time!

This was our 3rd visit since finding this little piece of paradise just over a year ago, we wouldn't even consider anywhere else for a few nights away to relax and re-charge. The minute you arrive and settle in, all the stresses of life just disappear. The Hosts, Robyn and John are very welcoming and maintain the property beautifully. The breakfast provisions are plentiful and delicious and you can pre-order an evening meal if you want to. The suites have everything you need and there is also a common lounge you can use with a DVD selection to borrow. At the end of the day just kick back in the spa with a drink, and take in the gorgeous views and watch John feed the Wallabies. Life doesn't get much better!

Wallaby Ridge Retreat was lovely. Robyn and John were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was such a relaxing time, we didn’t want to get back to reality. Highly recommend if you want to kick back and relax. It’s also close enough to Tamborine to take a drive and do whatever activities take your fancy.
