Ikigai is a beautiful lodge in a great location with incredibly helpful staff. The lifts to access two separate resorts were just across the road. The staff happily offered to drop off and pick up from other nearby resorts, meaning the ski options were huge. The newly renovated rooms were so nice, and hanging out in the lounge was warm and relaxing. I plan to take the kids next time knowing they will love to chill out in the separate kids lounge between time on the mountains. And it was just a 2 minute walk to access the yummy village restaurants as well! Highly recommended,

My partner and I stayed at Ikigai Lodge for a week which is located directly across the road from the Kanko Ski Lift. We were picked up at the train station by one of the owners and thoroughly looked after by Ash and Evie. Ash cooked us breakfast each day and the lodge also hosted a weekly dinner if we didn't feel like going out. Nothing was too much trouble. We were also transported to other close by ski fields to shake it up. Easy acess from the drying room to get outside. There is also a gym if you feel so inclined. Would thoroughly recommend Ikigai Lodge and look forward to coming back again next year.

We stayed at Ikigai around mid-February. It’s a modern boutique lodge with great amenities & good size room. Well located in this beautiful little town, an easy walk to many different restaurants, bars, onsens and convenience stores. Masa, Ash & Evie at Ikigai went above and beyond during our stay and were happy to share their knowledge of the local area. They organised lifts to the different resorts and drop off at the best places to eat around the local area with all within easy reach. Delicious daily hot breakfast to start the day. Awesome experience of the great powder in Myoko Kogen. We can’t wait to bring our family & friends to visit Myoko & stay with Ikigai again!
