My parents and I stayed here June 27-29, 2015, and had a wonderful time. The location requires a car, but is spectacularly beautiful. Situated on Loch Long across from Dornie, it is peaceful and quiet. It's a short drive into Dornie to have dinner at The Clachan, or to go visit Eilean Donan Castle. The drive to the Isle of...

I chose the location as something central to my interest in excursions in Skye and the Western Isles. However, it wasn't the best choice - the places I wanted to go (Oban for the three island tour of Mull, Skaffa and Iona and the western and northern tips of Skye) both turned into rather long (though very beautiful) day trips...

We had a first floor room with a great view and excellent wifi signal. The room was a bit small but very comfy. Great bed and facilities - we would stay there again. The walls were a bit thin so hopefully your neighbour doesn't snore but overall it's a nice b&b with a nice old vibe in a wonderful location.

Single room is pleasant, adequate size, and (contrary to what another review has said) had excellent wifi, on the first floor. And you don't pay over the top for being a solo traveller, unlike many places. Lounge very large if you wanted to use it, scrambled egg and Scottish salmon for breakfast delicious. Mind the potholes on the driveway. Glorious...

We stayed 2-nights at this lovely house with a great view outside across the loch. We made a booking through email and the owner required no deposit, etc. which is nice. We arrived at the place quite late after 10pm and the Sue managed to wait for us and handed us the key. I must admit we did not feel...

We booked our stay here based on the photos from the internet, which do show the home in a beautiful setting and it is. What the photos don't show is the musty smelling, tiny rooms with no personality. The house is dark and the amenities minimal. The water pressure in the shower was very low, and the shower itself with...

Stayed three nights in August; room was small and awkward to move around in, but did have a beautiful view across Loch Long. House is an old, historic hunting lodge and is interesting. Good shower, and room was warm. Generally things are a bit rundown and could do with a good cleaning. Internet only worked in the ground floor lounge,...

Stopped over here to break a long journey. I found it in general a bit run down and not very welcoming. The hostess didn't trouble to make any kind of friendly comments though provided information. The view from in front of the house was beautiful, but not from my room which was rather small. If somewhere claims to be dog...

Nice environment, but the price at the Conchra House is too high for what we got (compared with other B&Bs we have seen in Scotland): Very weak internet, everything a bit tatty and not always clean. The breakfast was good and enough.

I stayed at Conchra house for two nights. The room was beautiful and the shower was powerful. I didn't have a nice view though, you could see the wall of the building from the window. It was very hard to get to places without a car! The nearest shop was about 2 miles away and you had to walk by...
